{"id":140526,"date":"2015-06-28T09:16:29","date_gmt":"2015-06-28T16:16:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=140526"},"modified":"2015-06-28T09:16:29","modified_gmt":"2015-06-28T16:16:29","slug":"pavol-jelenak-scores-slovakian-record-at-nationals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/pavol-jelenak-scores-slovakian-record-at-nationals\/","title":{"rendered":"Pavol Jelenak Scores Slovakian Record at Nationals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Pavol Jelenak<\/strong> was part of a pair of Slovakian national records at the Slovakian National Championships this week in Bratislava.<\/p>\n<p>Jelenak lowered his own national record in the men&#8217;s 200-meter IM with a time of 2:05.36. \u00a0That swim clipped the 2:05.59 he clocked at the 2012 European Championships in Hungary.<\/p>\n<p>Jelenak also helped his Bratislava teammates to a national record in the men&#8217;s 800-meter free with a 1:52.56 leadoff split. \u00a0Jelenak, <strong>Martin Lacko<\/strong> (2:01.34), <strong>Adam Rosipal<\/strong> (1:58.89) and <strong>Richard Nagy<\/strong> (1:51.56) smashed the previous record of 7:47.81 with a 7:44.35 for the win.<\/p>\n<p>Jelenak also picked up victories in the men&#8217;s 100-meter free (52.73) and 200 free (1:54.88).<\/p>\n<p>Although Rosipal did not score an individual national record, he still finished with a strong performance\u00a0as he claimed a trio\u00a0golds and a\u00a0silver at the meet in Bratislava.<\/p>\n<p>Rosipal won the men&#8217;s 800-meter free (8:41.08), men&#8217;s 1500 free (16:35.95) and was part of the aforementioned 800-meter free relay.<\/p>\n<p>He also scored silver in the men&#8217;s 400-meter free relay.<\/p>\n<p>Another top performance came out of Tomas Klobucnik. \u00a0He swept the breaststrokes with wins in the men&#8217;s 50-meter breast (28.22), the 100-meter breast (1:02.45) and the 200-meter breast (2:16.58).<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"\/results\/2015-slovakia-nationals\/international-elite\/2015\/June\/26\" target=\"_blank\">2015 Slovakia Nationals &#8211; Results<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pavol Jelenak was part of a pair of Slovakian national records at the Slovakian National Championships this week in Bratislava.
