The loss sends Team USA to the bronze medal match <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_244533601\"><span class=\"aQJ\">on Sunday<\/span><\/span> and ends a chance for 2016 Olympic Games qualification from this competition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tony Azevedo<\/strong>\u00a0(Long Beach, CA\/Stanford\/NYAC) scored two goals in the loss. The United States will take on Brazil for third place <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_244533602\"><span class=\"aQJ\">on Sunday<\/span><\/span> at <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_244533603\"><span class=\"aQJ\">12:40pm et<\/span><\/span>\/9:40am pt. The match will be webcast live and is available by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/t.co\/oVfnndcasO\" target=\"_blank\">clicking here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The United States hoped to replicate their upset victory over Hungary <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_244533604\"><span class=\"aQJ\">on Friday<\/span><\/span> in the quarterfinal round and got off to a good start against Croatia tied at 2-2 after the first eight minutes. The battle continued into the second period with Team USA keeping pace trailing by just one at intermission at 5-4.<\/p>\n<p>Croatia turned it on in the second half. In the third period they managed to hold Team USA scoreless while adding on two more goals to grab a 7-4 lead.
