Ledecky posted a 4:01.81 in the 400-meter free to win the event, dropping 1.86 seconds from her prelims time of 4:03.67. Her time of 4:01.81 is only 1.34 seconds off her world best of 4:00.47 swum earlier this year in Austin.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at her splits Ledecky could very well be on her way to a new world best for 2015 and possibly even a new world record.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katie Ledecky&#8217;s 400-Meter Free Splits<\/strong><\/p>\n[table \u201c\u201d not found \/]<br \/>\n\n<p>That swim actually stands eighth-fastest all time, just clearing the 4:01.95 posted by Ledecky at the Mesa stop of the Arena Pro Swim Series. \u00a0Ledecky now owns six of the top 10 times ever.<\/p>\n<p><b>Kelsi Worrell<\/b>\u00a0and Ledecky faced off in the women&#8217;s 100-meter free but it was Worrell who took home the win. Despite Ledecky having a faster back-half of the race, Worrell&#8217;s 26.57 split at the first turn was enough to hold off Ledecky and claim the win with a 55.23. Ledecky touched close behind with a 55.48.<\/p>\n<p>Worrell and Ledecky&#8217;s Splits<\/p>\n[table \u201c\u201d not found \/]<br \/>\n\n<p>The men&#8217;s 100-meter free went to\u00a0<strong>Blake Pieroni<\/strong> who cruised to a 50.66.\u00a0<strong>Kyle DeCoursey<\/strong> finished second with a 52.18, while\u00a0<strong>Trevor Carroll\u00a0<\/strong>was third with a 52.26.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hannah Kukurugya<\/strong> was the winner of the women&#8217;s 200-meter fly with a swift 2:11.86, finishing 2.83 seconds ahead of the competition.\u00a0<strong>Isabella Rongione<\/strong> took second with a 2:14.69, and\u00a0<strong>Gia Dalesandro\u00a0<\/strong>was third with a 2:15.70.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zach Harting<\/strong> cruised to a win in the men&#8217;s 200-meter fly finishing with a time of 2:03.20, dropping 5.06 seconds off his prelims time of 2:08.26.\u00a0<strong>Max Irwin<\/strong> claimed second with a 2:07.60, and\u00a0<strong>Grant Lewis<\/strong> rounded out the top three with a 2:08.96.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rachel Matsumura<\/strong> was the champion of the women&#8217;s 200-meter back with a time of 2:15.60, a 4.99 second drop from her prelims time of 2:20.59. <strong>Claire Adams<\/strong> took second with a 2:16.55, while\u00a0<strong>Ashley\u00a0<\/strong><b>LeClair<\/b> was third with a 2:17.30.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 200-meter back\u00a0<strong>Nolan Tesone<\/strong> grabbed first with a 2:06.18.\u00a0<strong>Logan Oatman<\/strong> (2:08.68) and\u00a0<strong>Curtis Goss<\/strong> (2:10.89) were second and third respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 400-meter free turned out to be a close race with<strong> Andrew Gemmell<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Matthew Hirschberger<\/strong> finishing .07 seconds apart. Gemmell claimed the win with a 3:58.17, while Hirschberger finished close behind with a 3:58.24. Pieroni was third with a 4:03.10.<\/p>\n<p>The 400-meter free relay team of <strong>Trude Rothrock<\/strong> (58.98), <strong>Veronica Burchill<\/strong> (57.40), <strong>Emma Nordin<\/strong> (57.77) and <strong>Claire Adams<\/strong> (58.47) from Carmel Swim Club claimed victory in the women&#8217;s 400-meter free relay with a time finishing time of 3:52.62. Indiana University Swim Team took second with a time of 3:56.24, while the &#8216;B&#8217; relay from Carmel took third with a 3:59.24.<\/p>\n<p>On the men&#8217;s side it was the relay team of <strong>Cameron Gelwicks\u00a0<\/strong>(55.16),\u00a0<strong>Conner Gelwicks<\/strong> (54.79),\u00a0<strong>Tyler Harmon<\/strong> (54.57) and DeCoursey (51.84) from\u00a0Zionsville Swim Club who took the win with a time of 3:36.36.
