Swimming Canada, in conjunction with Canadian Interuniversity Sport, announced their open water roster for the 2015 World University Games, according to a piece from Swim Canada.<\/p>\n
Two-time Olympian Stephanie Horner<\/strong>\u00a0will be competing in the 10-kilometer race at the WUGS taking place from July-14 in Gwangju, South Korea. She will be joined in the race by Lauren Teghtsoonian<\/strong>, who is the youngest member of the group. She will be swimming at the University of Calgary in the fall.<\/p>\n In the men’s race, Canada will be represented by Xavier Desharnais<\/strong>, who will be appearing in his fourth-straight World University Games. This will be third time he is competing at the WUGS in the open water 10K. He will be accompanied by Philippe Guertin<\/strong>, who was already announced as a member of the team in April. He will also be competing in the pool during his trip to South Korea.<\/p>\n The team will be led\u00a0by head coach Lance Cansdale<\/strong>, as well as Ron Jacks<\/strong> who will work specifically with the open water team.
