Hit refresh for the latest coverage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 200 fly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Iron Lady <strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> won the women&#8217;s 200-meter fly by a second at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Hosszu powered her way to a top time of 2:09.77, adding .07 to her time from this morning.<\/p>\n<p>She&#8217;s been much faster with a 10th-ranked 2:08.00 from the Charlotte stop of the Arena Pro Swim Series.<\/p>\n<p>West Vancouver&#8217;s<strong> Emily Overholt<\/strong> turned in a second-place time of 2:10.75, cutting four-and-a-half seconds off her time from this morning.<\/p>\n<p>Gold&#8217;s <strong>Lauren Case<\/strong> rounded out the top three with a third-place time of 2:11.06.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Noelle Tarazona<\/strong> (2:11.97), Argentina&#8217;s <strong>Virginia Bardach<\/strong> (2:12.82), Mexico&#8217;s <strong>Diana Luna Sanchez<\/strong> (2:13.28), <strong>Kelsey Leneave<\/strong> (2:13.34), Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Ally Howe<\/strong> (2:13.43) and Gator&#8217;s <strong>Andreina Pinto<\/strong> (2:13.46) closed out the A final.<\/p>\n<p>California&#8217;s <strong>Caitlin Leverenz<\/strong> cruised in the B final with a winning time of 2:11.80.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 200 fly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NBAC&#8217;s <strong>Michael Phelps<\/strong> withstood a tough final 25 meters to secure the men&#8217;s 200-meter fly title at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Phelps uncorked a winning time of 1:57.62 after going out in 55.56. \u00a0That&#8217;s Phelps&#8217; best 200 fly time since his comeback, clearing the 1:58.90 he clocked this morning during prelims.<\/p>\n<p>He sill has some time to drop to get into the world-class range as Laszlo Cseh is 10th in the world with a 1:55.95. \u00a0 <strong>Andrew Seliskar<\/strong> is still the top-ranked American with a ninth-ranked 1:55.92 from Austin.<\/p>\n<p>Phelps&#8217; teammate <strong>Chase Kalisz<\/strong> checked in with a second-place time of 1:58.06, while California&#8217;s <strong>Tom Shields<\/strong> settled for third with a time of 1:58.28.<\/p>\n<p>FIAT&#8217;s <strong>Kaio Almeida<\/strong> (1:58.98), SwimMAC&#8217;s <strong>Tyler Clary<\/strong> (1:59.62), Club Wolverine&#8217;s<strong> Kyle Whitaker<\/strong> (1:59.66), California&#8217;s <strong>Justin Lynch<\/strong> (1:59.73), Dynamo&#8217;s <strong>Gunnar Bentz<\/strong> (2:00.20) and Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Bobby Bollier<\/strong> (2:01.16) placed fourth through ninth in the finale.<\/p>\n<p>Mexico&#8217;s <strong>Long Gutierrez<\/strong> touched out Club Wolverine&#8217;s <strong>Dylan Bosch<\/strong>, 2:00.63 to 2:00.66, for the B final victory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 50 free<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Simone Manuel<\/strong> nearly moved into the top 10 in the world with a win in the women&#8217;s 50-meter free at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Manuel raced her way to a 24.75 to move to 11th in the world. \u00a0That&#8217;s her third-fastest time ever, behind a lifetime best 24.56 from last summer&#8217;s nationals.<\/p>\n<p>The Netherlands&#8217; <strong>Femke Heemskerk<\/strong> nearly chased her down with a second-place time of 24.79. \u00a0She&#8217;s been faster this year with an eighth-ranked season best of 24.57 from the Eindhoven Swim Cup.<\/p>\n<p>California&#8217;s <strong>Natalie Coughlin<\/strong>, the veteran of the bunch at 32 years old, nearly popped another lifetime best here in Santa Clara with a third-place 24.97. \u00a0That&#8217;s just off her 24.90 from the 2013 Mesa stop of the Arena Pro Swim Series.<\/p>\n<p>SwimMAC&#8217;s<strong> Madison Kennedy<\/strong> touched fourth in 25.13 with California&#8217;s <strong>Farida Osman<\/strong> turning in a fifth-place 25.20.<\/p>\n<p>Tucson Ford&#8217;s <strong>Margo Geer<\/strong> (25.21), <strong>Etiene Medeiros<\/strong> (25.21), <strong>Lia Neal<\/strong> (25.35) and Wisconsin&#8217;s <strong>Ivy Martin<\/strong> (25.52) also competed for the title.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daynara De Paula<\/strong> continued her strong meet with a 25.60 to top the B final. \u00a0FIAT&#8217;s <strong>Lorrane Ferreira<\/strong> finished second in the consolation with a time of 25.64.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 50 free<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>California&#8217;s <strong>Nathan Adrian<\/strong> grabbed eighth in the world rankings in the men&#8217;s 50-meter free at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Adrian threw down a 21.97 against a loaded A final. That swim jumped Adrian into eighth in the world rankings ahead of a 21.98 from the injured <strong>James Magnussen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Auburn&#8217;s <strong>Bruno Fratus<\/strong>, who stands third in the world with a 21.74, wound up second tonight in 22.02. \u00a0Trojan&#8217;s <strong>Vlad Morozov<\/strong>, ranked second in the world with a 21.65, wound up third in 22.27.<\/p>\n<p>Tucson Ford&#8217;s <strong>Brad Tandy<\/strong> (22.28), California&#8217;s <strong>Anthony Ervin<\/strong> (22.43), Auburn&#8217;s <strong>Marcelo Chierighini<\/strong> (22.63), FIAT&#8217;s <strong>Henrique Martins<\/strong> (22.71), FIAT&#8217;s <strong>Italo Duarte<\/strong> (22.73) and Trojan&#8217;s <strong>Nikita Lobintsev<\/strong> (22.79) also turned in times in the A final.<\/p>\n<p>Trojan&#8217;s <strong>Alexander Sukhorukov<\/strong> clipped SwimMAC&#8217;s <strong>Cullen Jones<\/strong>, 22.72 to 22.73, for the B final win.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 100 back<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Iron Lady <strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> doubled up with a sizzler in the women&#8217;s 100-meter back at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Just minutes after winning the 200 fly, Hosszu returned with a near-Hungarian record time of 59.69. \u00a0That time is just off her fifth-ranked season best of 59.47 from the Charlotte stop, and her Hungarian mark of 59.36 from 2014.<\/p>\n<p>California&#8217;s <strong>Elizabeth Pelton<\/strong> chased down second tonight with a time of 1:00.31, while Colorado Stars&#8217; <strong>Missy Franklin<\/strong> wound up taking third overall in 1:00.65.<\/p>\n<p>Franklin is swimming her first meet since turning professional following NCAAs in March, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/missy-franklin-i-havent-raced-since-ncaas-knocking-cobwebs-off-video-interview\/\" target=\"_blank\">has been open that she&#8217;s knocking off some cobwebs here in Santa Clara<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Mexico&#8217;s <strong>Fernanda Gonzalez Ramirez<\/strong> (1:01.41), Club Wolverine&#8217;s <strong>Ali Deloof<\/strong> (1:01.59), <strong>Erin Voss<\/strong> (1:01.63), <strong>Etienne Medeiros<\/strong> (1:02.09), <strong>Gisela Morales<\/strong> (1:02.19) and <strong>Tasija Karosas<\/strong> (1:02.56) finished fourth through ninth tonight.<\/p>\n<p>Grand Canyon&#8217;s <strong>Iryna Glavnyk<\/strong> chased down the B final title with a time of 1:02.24. \u00a0North Carolina&#8217;s <strong>Hellen Moffitt<\/strong> turned in a second-place time of 1:02.48.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 100 back<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>California&#8217;s <strong>Ryan Murphy<\/strong> threw down a sub-54 to win the men&#8217;s 100-meter back at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Murphy raced his way to a time of 53.83, nearly moving into the top 10 in the world held by <strong>Camille Lacourt<\/strong> with a 53.60.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s near his in-season best of 53.57 set at the 2013 Georgia Long Course Sectionals, and just missed his best time this year of 53.82 from Austin.<\/p>\n<p>Tucson Ford&#8217;s <strong>Matt Grevers<\/strong>, the top ranked American of the year with a fifth-ranked 53.27 from the Austin stop, ran into the lane line with 15 meters left and still managed to hold on to silver with a 54.45.<\/p>\n<p>NYAC&#8217;s<strong> David Plummer<\/strong> checked in with a bronze-winning time of 54.55, while Club Wolverine&#8217;s<strong> Junya Koga<\/strong> also cleared 55 seconds with a fourth-place 54.88.<\/p>\n<p>Tucson Ford&#8217;s<strong> Nick Thoman<\/strong> (55.25), California&#8217;s <strong>Jacob Pebley<\/strong> (55.34), PASA&#8217;s <strong>Eugene Godsoe<\/strong> (55.79), RAC&#8217;s <strong>Mohamed Hussein<\/strong> (55.88) and Gator&#8217;s <strong>Corey Main<\/strong> (55.93) closed out the rest of the championship heat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Andrew<\/strong>, the 16-year-old national age group record hunter, nearly popped a lifetime best in the B final with a 55.78. \u00a0Andrew, who shaved for this meet, just missed his 55.73 best swam at both the Senior and Junior Nationals last summer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 200 breast<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Trojan&#8217;s <strong>Yuliya Efimova<\/strong> turned on the jets down the stretch to win the women&#8217;s 200-meter breast at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Efimova, who stunned many by cruising into finals with a 2:30 this morning, dominated the finale in a time of 2:23.64. \u00a0That&#8217;s not near her season best of 2:22.12 from Russian Nationals that ranks fifth in the world, but was nearly two full seconds clear of the field.<\/p>\n<p>Gator&#8217;s <strong>Hilda Luthersdottir<\/strong> claimed second tonight in a time of 2:25.61, while BlueFish&#8217;s <strong>Laura Sogar<\/strong> snared third overall in 2:27.04.<\/p>\n<p>Auburn&#8217;s <strong>Annie Lazor<\/strong> (2:28.10), Minnesota&#8217;s <strong>Haley Spencer<\/strong> (2:28.39), Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Sarah Haase<\/strong> (2:31.37), SoFlo&#8217;s <strong>Alia Atkinson<\/strong> (2:31.47), Mexico&#8217;s <strong>Melissa Rodriguez Villanueva<\/strong> (2:31.53) and Tucson Ford&#8217;s<strong> Emma Schoettmer<\/strong> (2:32.88) rounded out the championship nine.<\/p>\n<p>Argentina&#8217;s <strong>Julia Sebastian<\/strong> dropped six seconds from her prelim swim to win the B final in a time of 2:30.70.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 200 breast<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Badger&#8217;s <strong>Cody Miller<\/strong> cracked 2:10 for the first time in his career in the men&#8217;s 200-meter breast at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Miller touched out California&#8217;s <strong>Josh Prenot<\/strong>, 2:09.71 to 2:09.91. \u00a0This swim <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/cody-miller-blazes-way-to-3rd-in-world-in-100-breast-with-lifetime-best\/\" target=\"_blank\">follows Miller putting up a lifetime best in the 100 to win last night<\/a>. \u00a0Miller&#8217;s time downed his previous best of 2:10.28 from the Orlando stop of the Arena Pro Swim Series, and moved him to 13th in the world rankings.<\/p>\n<p>Prenot, who has been 2:09 before with a 2:09.30 lifetime best, became just the 15th swimmer to break 2:10 this year as he moved to 15th in the world.<\/p>\n<p>FIAT&#8217;s <strong>Thiago Pereira<\/strong> wound up third in a time of 2:14.11, while Wisconsin&#8217;s <strong>Nick Schafer<\/strong> finished fourth in 2:14.80.<\/p>\n<p>Louisville&#8217;s <strong>Carlos Claverie<\/strong> (2:15.05), SoFlo&#8217;s <strong>Jorge Murillo Valdes<\/strong> (2:17.30), Louisville&#8217;s <strong>Thomas Dahlia<\/strong> (2:17.47) and NBAC&#8217;s <strong>Chase Kalisz<\/strong> (2:18.83) also vied for the title, while Scottsdale&#8217;s<strong> Carl Mickelson<\/strong> drew a disqualification.<\/p>\n<p>PASA&#8217;s <strong>BJ Johnson<\/strong> crushed the B final with a time of 2:14.55, downing the rest of the field by more than a second.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 50 fly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>California&#8217;s <strong>Farida Osman<\/strong> set an African record in the women&#8217;s 50-meter fly for the win at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Osman hit the wall in a personal best 26.08 to break her own record of 26.12 from the 2013 World Championships in Barcelona. The swim moved her to 16th in the world rankings.<\/p>\n<p>SESI&#8217;s <strong>Daynara De Paula<\/strong> finished second tonight in 26.37 with Wisconsin&#8217;s <strong>Ivy Martin<\/strong> taking third in 26.42.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aliena Schmidtke<\/strong> (26.55), SoFlo&#8217;s <strong>Alia Atkinson<\/strong> (26.65), Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Felicia Lee<\/strong> (26.98), North Carolina&#8217;s <strong>Hellen Moffitt<\/strong> (27.04), Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Simone Manuel<\/strong> (27.39) and Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Lia Neal<\/strong> (27.45) also battled in the finale.<\/p>\n<p>Longhorn&#8217;s <strong>Lisa Boyce<\/strong> tracked down the consolation heat win in 27.12, while PASA&#8217;s <strong>Leah Goldman<\/strong> placed second in 27.21.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 50 fly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Phoenix&#8217;s <strong>Giles Smith<\/strong> turned in a personal best to win the men&#8217;s 50-meter fly at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Smith clocked a time of 23.30 to blast his previous top time of 23.65 from prelims. \u00a0Coming into today, his personal best had been a 23.88 from last summer&#8217;s nationals.<\/p>\n<p>Smith&#8217;s time tonight vaulted him to fourth in the world.<\/p>\n<p><strong>50 Fly World Rankings<\/strong><\/p>\n[table \u201c\u201d not found \/]<br \/>\n\n<p>FIAT&#8217;s <strong>Henrique Martins<\/strong> touched second tonight in a time of 23.57, while Tucson Ford&#8217;s<strong> Masa Kishida<\/strong> placed third in 23.92.<\/p>\n<p>16-year-old <strong>Michael Andrew<\/strong> downed his personal best with a fourth-place time of 24.00. \u00a0That&#8217;s better than the 24.22 he clocked in South Africa in February.<\/p>\n<p>Trojan&#8217;s <strong>Dylan Carter<\/strong> (24.01), Argentina&#8217;s <strong>Santiago Grassi<\/strong> (24.06), Hong Kong&#8217;s <strong>Geoff Cheah<\/strong> (24.31), Puerto Rico&#8217;s<strong> Erik Risolvato<\/strong> (24.37) and <strong>Glauber Silva<\/strong> (24.49) also competed in the A final.<\/p>\n<p>Auburn&#8217;s <strong>Arthur Mendes<\/strong> and North Carolina&#8217;s <strong>Sam Lewis<\/strong> shared the B final win with 24.36s.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 400 free<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NBAC&#8217;s <strong>Lotte Friis<\/strong> charged her way to the finish to win the women&#8217;s 400-meter free at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Friis, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/lotte-friis-becca-mann-considering-nbac-futures\/\" target=\"_blank\">who is still considering exactly where she will end up after Bob Bowman left NBAC to Arizona State<\/a>, won the finale in a time of 4:07.17. \u00a0That&#8217;s still a bit off the world top 10 of 4:05.86 held by <strong>Cao Yue<\/strong>, but was enough to claim the first-place check tonight.<\/p>\n<p>West Vancouver&#8217;s <strong>Emily Overholt<\/strong> placed second tonight in 4:07.93, while NBAC&#8217;s <strong>Cierra Runge<\/strong> checked in with a third-place time of 4:08.38.<\/p>\n<p>Completing a difficult triple, <strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> wound up taking fourth in 4:08.77 after winning the 200 fly and 100 back earlier in the evening.<\/p>\n<p>Badger&#8217;s<strong> Lindsay Vrooman<\/strong> (4:10.73), NBAC&#8217;s<strong> Becca Mann<\/strong> (4:11.07), Club Wolverine&#8217;s<strong> Gillian Ryan<\/strong> (4:11.46), Minnesota&#8217;s <strong>Kiera Janzen<\/strong> (4:13.02) and NBAC&#8217;s<strong> Sierra Schmidt<\/strong> (4:13.19) comprised the rest of the championship heat.<\/p>\n<p>Gator&#8217;s <strong>Andreina Pinto<\/strong> edged Granite Gators&#8217; <strong>Kennedy Goss<\/strong>, 4:13.83 to 4:13.85, in an incredibly close B final.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 400 free<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Woodlands&#8217; <strong>Michael McBroom<\/strong> added the 400 free to his 800 free victory at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>In an intense battle with Club Wolverine&#8217;s <strong>Connor Jaeger<\/strong>, McBroom edged Jaeger, 3:48.59 to 3:48.75. \u00a0That&#8217;s McBroom&#8217;s second win of the weekend thus far.<\/p>\n<p>Trojan&#8217;s <strong>Mads Glaesner<\/strong> finished third tonight in a time of 3:49.51, while Longhorn&#8217;s <strong>Clark Smith<\/strong> picked up fourth in 3:49.72.<\/p>\n<p>Trojan&#8217;s <strong>Ous Mellouli<\/strong> (3:50.57), Dynamo&#8217;s <strong>Matias Koski<\/strong> (3:51.96), Gator&#8217;s <strong>Mitch D&#8217;Arrigo<\/strong> (3:52.82), <strong>Zane Grothe<\/strong> (3:53.94) and FIAT&#8217;s <strong>Lucas Kanieski<\/strong> (3:55.66) rounded out the A final.<\/p>\n<p>Club Wolverine&#8217;s <strong>Michael Klueh<\/strong> raced his way to the B final win in 3:53.73. \u00a0Gator&#8217;s <strong>True Sweetser<\/strong> claimed second in 3:54.19.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"\/results\/2015-arena-pro-swim-series-santa-clara-day-3-finals-day-3\/usa-senior-national\/2015\/June\/18\" target=\"_blank\">2015 Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara, Day 3 Finals &#8211;
