Hit refresh for the latest coverage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 200 free<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Netherlands&#8217; <strong>Femke<\/strong> <strong>Heemskerk<\/strong> asserted herself as the top-ranked 200 freestyler in the world with a victory in the event at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Heemskerk raced her way to a winning time of 1:55.68. \u00a0That swim is a bit off her top-ranked 1:54.68 from the Eindhoven Swim Cup, and is the third-fastest time this year behind a 1:54.77 from <strong>Sarah<\/strong> <strong>Sjostrom<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Hungary&#8217;s <strong>Katinka<\/strong> <strong>Hosszu<\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/katinka-hosszu-breaks-katie-hoffs-400-im-u-s-open-record\/\" target=\"_blank\">who set a U.S. Open mark in the 400 IM this morning<\/a>, claimed silver with a time of 1:56.88. \u00a0That&#8217;s a bit off her fourth-ranked season best of 1:55.89 from the Charlotte stop of the Arena Pro Swim Series.<\/p>\n<p>Colorado Stars&#8217; <strong>Missy<\/strong> <strong>Franklin<\/strong>, swimming in her first meet as a professional, took third in 1:57.02 to move to 12th in the world. \u00a0NBAC&#8217;s <strong>Allison<\/strong> <strong>Schmitt<\/strong> snared fourth in 1:57.29.<\/p>\n<p>California&#8217;s <strong>Elizabeth Pelton<\/strong> (1:58.30), Hong Kong&#8217;s <strong>Camille Cheng<\/strong> (1:59.60), Ozaukee&#8217;s <strong>Katie Drabot<\/strong> (1:59.66), Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Simone Manuel<\/strong> (1:59.82) and West Vancouver&#8217;s <strong>Emily Overholt<\/strong> (2:01.10) also battled in the A final.<\/p>\n<p>NBAC&#8217;s<strong>\u00a0Cierra Runge<\/strong> topped the B final with a time of 1:59.50, which is just a second back of her lifetime best of 1:58.35 from the 2014 edition of this meet. \u00a0Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Maya DiRado<\/strong> also cleared 2:00 with a 1:59.61 for second.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 200 free<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Club Wolverine&#8217;s <strong>Connor Jaeger<\/strong> turned on the jets down the stretch to win the men&#8217;s 200-meter free at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Jaeger clocked a time of 1:48.66 for the victory to claim the top prize money, but was well off the top 10 in the world currently anchored by <strong>Calum Jarvis&#8217;<\/strong> 1:46.65 from British Nationals.<\/p>\n<p>Trojan&#8217;s <strong>Nikita Lobintsev<\/strong> finished second in 1:48.86 with NBAC&#8217;s <strong>Michael Phelps<\/strong> looking stronger than in Charlotte off the walls with a third-place time of 1:49.03.<\/p>\n<div class=\"oembed-wrap\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Michael Phelps 200 frees in 2015:<\/p>\n<p>Charlotte heat: 1:51.44<br \/>Charlotte B final: 1:49.12<br \/>Santa Clara heat: 1:49.26<br \/>Santa Clara A final: 1:49.03<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Nick Zaccardi (@nzaccardi) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nzaccardi\/status\/612053345210122240?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 20, 2015<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>Club Wolverine&#8217;s <strong>Kyle Whitaker<\/strong> snared fourth in 1:49.24 with Longhorn&#8217;s <strong>Clark Smith<\/strong> earning fifth in 1:49.35.<\/p>\n<p>Dynamo&#8217;s <strong>Matias Koski<\/strong> (1:49.42), Gator&#8217;s <strong>Mitch D&#8217;Arrigo<\/strong> (1:49.92), Club Wolverine&#8217;s <strong>Michael Klueh<\/strong> (1:50.36) and California&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ryan Murphy<\/strong> (1:50.59) rounded out the championship nine.<\/p>\n<p>Club Wolverine&#8217;s <strong>Anders Lie Nielsen<\/strong> turned in a 1:49.27 to win the B final. \u00a0Pleasanton&#8217;s <strong>Maxime Rooney<\/strong> hit the wall second in 1:49.50 with 800 free winner <strong>Michael McBroom<\/strong> placing third in 1:50.07.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 100 breast<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Trojan&#8217;s <strong>Yuliya Efimova<\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/yuliya-efimova-banned-for-16-months-stripped-of-world-records\/\" target=\"_blank\">just months removed from a doping ban<\/a>, does not seem worse for the time off after winning the women&#8217;s 100-meter breast at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Efimova hit the wall in a time of 1:06.13, just off her second-ranked season best of 1:05.89 from Mission Viejo in March. \u00a0Her time tonight is the third best in the world this year. Only <strong>Ruta Meilutyte<\/strong> has been faster this year with a 1:05.46 from the Canet stop of the Mare Nostrum.<\/p>\n<p>Trojan&#8217;s <strong>Jessica Hardy<\/strong> captured silver tonight in 1:07.53, off her sixth-ranked best of 1:06.97 from the Charlotte stop.<\/p>\n<p>SoFlo&#8217;s <strong>Alia Atkinson<\/strong>, ranked fifth in the world with a 1:06.79 from Orlando, snared bronze with a time of 1:08.21.<\/p>\n<p>Gator&#8217;s <strong>Hilda Luthersdottir<\/strong> (1:08.40), BlueFish&#8217;s <strong>Laura Sogar<\/strong> (1:08.83), Calgary&#8217;s <strong>Fiona Doyle<\/strong> (1:08.94), Canton City&#8217;s <strong>Laura Lindsay<\/strong> (1:09.04), Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Sarah Haase<\/strong> (1:09.04) and Minnesota&#8217;s <strong>Haley Spencer<\/strong> (1:09.11) closed out the A final.<\/p>\n<p>Auburn&#8217;s <strong>Annie Lazor<\/strong> topped the B final in a time of 1:09.92. \u00a0Argentina&#8217;s <strong>Macarena Ceballos<\/strong> (1:10.36) and <strong>Julia Sebastian<\/strong> (1:10.40) placed second and third.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 100 breast<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Badger&#8217;s <strong>Cody Miller<\/strong> raced his way to third in the world in the men&#8217;s 100-meter breast with a lifetime best at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Miller blazed his way to a top time of 59.51, moving himself to third in the world behind only <strong>Adam Peaty&#8217;s<\/strong> world record of 57.92 and <strong>Ross Murdoch<\/strong> (59.13).<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s better than his previous lifetime best of 59.91 that he just missed with a ninth-ranked 59.92 from the Orlando stop earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>FIAT&#8217;s <strong>Felipe Lima<\/strong>, ranked fifth in the world with a 59.78, took second tonight in 1:00.66.<\/p>\n<p>California&#8217;s <strong>Josh Prenot<\/strong> threw down a time of 1:01.21 to take third overall.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Andrew<\/strong>, the 16-year-old professional swimmer, just missed lowering his 15-16 U.S. National Age Group record of 1:01.67 with a fourth-place 1:01.70. \u00a0Andrew was looking towards the record after shaving for this meet.<\/p>\n<p>SoFlo&#8217;s<strong> Jorge Murillo Valdes<\/strong> (1:02.13), Trojan&#8217;s <strong>Glenn Snyders<\/strong> (1:02.18), Grand Canyon&#8217;s <strong>Youssef El Kamash<\/strong> (1:02.59), NYAC&#8217;s <strong>Mike Alexandrov<\/strong> (1:02.74) and Louisville&#8217;s <strong>Carlos Claverie<\/strong> (1:02.97) placed fifth through ninth.<\/p>\n<p>Scottsdale&#8217;s<strong> Carl Mickelson<\/strong> won the B final in 1:02.18 with Wisconsin&#8217;s <strong>Nick Schafer<\/strong> placing second in 1:02.84.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 50 back<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>California&#8217;s <strong>Natalie Coughlin<\/strong> is the next swimmer to prove that age is just a number as she took down the American record in the women&#8217;s 50-meter back at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Coughlin scorched the finale with a time of 27.51, downing <strong>Rachel Bootsma&#8217;s<\/strong> American and U.S. Open mark of 27.68 from 2013 in Indianapolis. \u00a0That&#8217;s a huge personal best for Coughlin, clearing her previous mark of 28.09 from the Golden Tour this year.<\/p>\n<p>Coughlin moved to third in the world with her swim tonight as <strong>Etiene Medeiros<\/strong> (27.38) and <strong>Emily Seebohm<\/strong> (27.47) have both been faster.<\/p>\n<p>Bootsma wound up taking second in the event tonight with a time of 28.05 to jump to 10th in the world rankings.<\/p>\n<p>Medeiros managed to place third in 29.20, while Mexico&#8217;s <strong>Fernanda Gonzalez Ramirez<\/strong> finished fourth in 28.86.<\/p>\n<p>California&#8217;s <strong>Elizabeth Pelton<\/strong> (29.05), Grand Canyon&#8217;s<strong> Iryna Glavnyk<\/strong> (29.22), Stanford&#8217;s<strong> Maya DiRado<\/strong> (29.28), Colorado Stars&#8217; <strong>Missy Franklin<\/strong> (29.33) and Stanford&#8217;s<strong> Janet Hu<\/strong> (29.76) closed out the top nine.<\/p>\n<p>Club Wolverine&#8217;s <strong>Ali Deloof<\/strong> took down the B final with a 28.97, while <strong>Gisela Morales<\/strong> finished second in 29.14.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 50 back<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Club Wolverine&#8217;s <strong>Junya Koga<\/strong> picked up the men&#8217;s 50-meter back victory at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Koga, ranked third in the world with a 24.73 from the Japan Open, sprinted his way to a 25.02 for the win. \u00a0That swim was enough for the triumph tonight.<\/p>\n<p>Trojan&#8217;s <strong>Vlad Morozov<\/strong> touched second in 25.19, off his ninth-ranked 24.93 from Russian Nationals.<\/p>\n<p>NYAC&#8217;s <strong>David Plummer<\/strong> managed to take home third-place honors in 25.33 with Tucson Ford&#8217;s <strong>Matt Grevers<\/strong> taking fourth in 25.35.<\/p>\n<p>California&#8217;s <strong>Ryan Murphy<\/strong> (25.61), Tucson Ford&#8217;s <strong>Nick Thoman<\/strong> (25.61), Schroeder&#8217;s <strong>Adam Mania<\/strong> (25.81), Club Wolverine&#8217;s <strong>Miguel Ortiz<\/strong> (25.91) and <strong>Guy Barnea<\/strong> (26.09) also made a run at the title in the A final.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Andrew<\/strong> downed his personal best in the event with a 25.72 to win the B final. \u00a0The time crushed his previous best of 26.04 from April. \u00a0Gator&#8217;s <strong>Corey Main<\/strong> took second in the B final in 26.00.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 100 fly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Daynara De Paula<\/strong> took home the title in the women&#8217;s 100-meter fly at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>De Paula touched in a time of 58.98, off the top 10 in the world currently anchored by <strong>Lu Ying&#8217;s<\/strong> 57.96 from Chinese Nationals.<\/p>\n<p>California&#8217;s <strong>Farida Osman<\/strong> finished second tonight in 59.05 with Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Felicia Lee<\/strong> finishing in the money with a third-place 59.51.<\/p>\n<p>NCAC&#8217;s <strong>Hellen Moffitt<\/strong> (59.52), California&#8217;s <strong>Kelly Naze<\/strong> (59.69), Gold&#8217;s <strong>Lauren Case<\/strong> (59.84), <strong>Aliena Schmidtke<\/strong> (59.93), Wisconsin&#8217;s <strong>Ivy Martin<\/strong> (1:00.85) and Longhorn&#8217;s <strong>Lisa Boyce<\/strong> (1:00.93) all competed for the championship as well.<\/p>\n<p>Hong Kong&#8217;s <strong>Hang Yu Sze<\/strong> edged FAST&#8217;s <strong>Bailey Nero<\/strong>, 1:00.79 to 1:00.99, for the B final win.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 100 fly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>California&#8217;s <strong>Tom Shields<\/strong> clips Phoenix&#8217;s <strong>Giles Smith<\/strong> for the men&#8217;s 100-meter fly title at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Shields touched out Smith in a close call, 52.22 to 52.27. \u00a0Both times are a bit of world class currently anchored by <strong>Tommaso D&#8217;Orsogna&#8217;s<\/strong> 51.90 from Australian Nationals.<\/p>\n<p>FIAT&#8217;s <strong>Henrique Martins<\/strong> claimed third with a time of 52.56, while Argentina&#8217;s <strong>Santiago Grassi<\/strong> finished fourth in 52.71.<\/p>\n<p>The Woodlands&#8217; <strong>Tripp Cooper<\/strong> (53.18), California&#8217;s <strong>Seth Stubblefield<\/strong> (53.41), California&#8217;s <strong>Seth Stubblefield<\/strong> (53.41), California&#8217;s <strong>Justin Lynch<\/strong> (53.68), FIAT&#8217;s <strong>Kaio Almeida<\/strong> (53.79) and PASA&#8217;s <strong>Eugene Godsoe<\/strong> (53.85) placed fifth through ninth.<\/p>\n<p>Hong Kong&#8217;s <strong>Geoff Cheah<\/strong> took home the B final win in 53.73 with Stanford&#8217;s <strong>David Nolan<\/strong> touching just behind in 53.74.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 400 IM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hungary&#8217;s <strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> cruised to victory in the women&#8217;s 400-meter IM, but was unable to replicate her U.S. Open record speed from the morning at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Hosszu, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/katinka-hosszu-breaks-katie-hoffs-400-im-u-s-open-record\/\" target=\"_blank\">who clocked a blazing 4:31.07 to break Katie Hoff&#8217;s U.S. Open mark this morning<\/a>, took the 400 IM title tonight in 4:34.04.<\/p>\n<p>Hosszu still managed to win tonight by more than five seconds as West Vancouver&#8217;s <strong>Emily Overholt<\/strong> placed second in 4:39.47.<\/p>\n<p>California&#8217;s <strong>Caitlin Leverenz<\/strong> wound up third with a time of 4:39.55 to collect another paycheck.<\/p>\n<p>NBAC&#8217;s <strong>Becca Mann<\/strong> (4:42.10), <strong>Madisyn Cox<\/strong> (4:45.11), Ohio State&#8217;s <strong>Lindsey Clary<\/strong> (4:46.46), California&#8217;s <strong>Celina Li<\/strong> (4:49.09), Argentina&#8217;s <strong>Virginia Bardach<\/strong> (4:49.86) and Club Wolverine&#8217;s <strong>Marni Oldershaw<\/strong> (4:51.19) placed fourth through ninth.<\/p>\n<p>Club Wolverine&#8217;s <strong>Hannah Moore<\/strong> turned in a time of 4:50.19 to win the B final. <strong>\u00a0Monika Gonzalez Hermosillo<\/strong> touched second in 4:52.17.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s 400 IM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dynamo&#8217;s <strong>Gunnar Bentz<\/strong> turned on the afterburners down the stretch to capture the men&#8217;s 400-meter IM at the Arena Pro Swim Series Santa Clara.<\/p>\n<p>Bentz hit the wall in 4:17.73 for the win, while Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Max Williamson<\/strong> placed second in 4:18.22.<\/p>\n<p>SwimMAC&#8217;s <strong>Tyler Clary<\/strong> closed out the top three with a time of 4:20.54.<\/p>\n<p>Wisconsin&#8217;s <strong>Michael Weiss<\/strong> (4:23.55), Yale&#8217;s <strong>Kei Hyogo<\/strong> (4:23.76), Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Curtis Ogren<\/strong> (4:23.96), <strong>Alex Lebed<\/strong> (4:24.74), Club Wolverine&#8217;s <strong>Ian Rainey<\/strong> (4:24.91) and California&#8217;s <strong>Adam Hinshaw<\/strong> (4:25.42) placed fourth through ninth.<\/p>\n<p>Etobicoke&#8217;s <strong>Tristan Cote<\/strong> touched out Tucson Ford&#8217;s <strong>Michael Meyer<\/strong>, 4:24.14 to 4:24.19, for the B final win.
