HEALTH officials in Beijing have indicated that measures are being taken to guarantee that no epidemic or health scares plague the 2008 Olympic Games when they arrive in the city in the summer of next year. Any athletes who are injured or show signs of sickness have been guaranteed first-rate medical treatment, officials said.<\/p>\n
Measures have been taken to ensure that food and water brought into the Games is safe and free of any contaminants that could cause problems in the Olympic Village or at competition venues.
