Last night, she opened the meet with a Small States record in the women\u2019s 200-meter IM, and she added another meet record to her tally tonight in Reykjavik.<\/p>\n<p>The Florida Gator demolished her meet record time of 2:31.28 in the women\u2019s 200-meter breast. L\u00f9therd\u00f2ttir\u2019s 2:25.39 was simply untouchable. The nearest finisher, Theresa Banzer, took second with a 2:37.87. Icelandic upstart Karin Arngeirsdottir finished third with a 2:41.91.<\/p>\n<p>Eyglo Osk Gustafd\u00f2ttir added another victory under her belt in the women\u2019s 100-meter back. She broke her own meet record, which stood at a 1:02.89, with a 1:01.20. Ingibjoerg Kristin Jonsdottir swam a 1:03.84 to get second, while Julie Meynen finished third in 1:05.42.<\/p>\n<p>In the women\u2019s 400-meter free, Liechtenstein\u2019s Julia Hassler set a new meet record with her 4:14.32. The original record, set by Anna Styliano, stood at 4:16.64. Hassler, who holds a number of national records, never surrendered her lead over second-place finisher Monique Olivier (4:16.74). Inga Elin Cryer wound up third with a 4:24.07.<\/p>\n<p>Johanna Gerda Gustafsdottir bested Anna Schoholeva\u2019s 1:01.00 meet record in the women\u2019s 100-meter fly with a first-place time of 1:00.91. She narrowly topped her Icelandic teammate Bryndin Run Hansen, who swam a 1:01.10. Hassler took third with a 1:02.93.<\/p>\n<p>Laurent Carnol, who set the 200-meter fly meet record last night, bested his own record in the men\u2019s 200-meter breast. His 2:11.99 was well below the previous mark of 2:14.66. Anton Sveinn McKee was a close second with a 2:12.66. Christoph Martin Meier rounded out the top three with a 2:17.30.<\/p>\n<p>The men\u2019s 100-meter backstroke ended in exciting fashion with Iceland\u2019s Kolbeinn Hrafnkelsson (57.66) winning by the slimmest of margins ahead of Jean-Francois Schneiders (57.67). Kristinn Thorarinsson was a nearby third in 58.21.<\/p>\n<p>Raphael Stacchiotti took the men\u2019s 400-meter free after jumping to an early lead Christoph Martin Meier. Stacchiotti clocked a 3:57.43, while Meier finished with a 4:02.05. Antoine Biver fell to third in 4:04.21.<\/p>\n<p>Later, Stacchiotti added a win in the men\u2019s 100-meter fly with his 54.30.
