CENTER VALLEY, Pennsylvania, January 25. THE Lafayette men swept the Patriot League Swimmer and Diver of the Week awards, while Colgate and Army split the women's weekly honors. Brian Conise earned the Male Diver of the Week, while teammate Jonathan Jenkins took the Male Swimmer of the Week honor. Ashley Bottger of Colgate was awarded Female Swimmer of the Week, with Army's Lindsay Adao honing the Female Diver of the Week position.
\nFemale Swimmer of the Week?
\nAshley Bottger, Colgate So., Weston, Conn.?Bottger earned her first individual collegiate wins at Cornell, winning the 50- and 100-free. She also anchored the victorious 200-medley relay. Against Lafayette, she was a member of the winning 200-free relay team and was runner-up in the 100-free.<\/p>\n
Male Swimmer of the Week?
\nJonathan Jenkins, Lafayette Fr., Bellbrook, Ohio?Jenkins won the 50- and 100-free events and led off for the winning 200-free relay against Colgate. The Leopard won the 50-free by almost a full second and the 100-free by more than two seconds.<\/p>\n
Female Diver of the Week
\nLindsay Adao, Army Fr., New City, N.Y.?Adao took first in both the one-meter and three-meter boards against Lehigh. She won the one-meter by 12 points and the three-meter by 48 points. It was the third time the rookie swept the diving events this year.<\/p>\n
Male Diver of the Week?
