The list of notable Americans is short this year, but the meet will still feature some heavy competition in the lead-up to Canada hosting the Pan American Games.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/20150515-zajac-psychpackage-02.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">PSYCH SHEET: MEL ZAJAC JR. INTERNATIONAL<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Kevin Cordes will be one of the big names to watch at the meet. He\u2019s entered in all three breaststroke events as the top seed by a very large margin. Cordes is competing in the 50 and 200 breaststrokes at the world championships.<\/p>\n<p>Tera Van Beilen will face off against Ireland\u2019s Fiona Doyle and compatriot Rachel Nicol in the women&#8217;s breaststroke events. Van Beilen and Nicol will represent Canada at the Pan American Games, with Nicol getting the bonus opportunity to compete in the world championships.<\/p>\n<p>Emily Overholt will be looking to refine her racing skills in several events in Vancouver, including the 200 freestyle, where she\u2019s seeded three seconds ahead of the rest of the field. Ashley Sutherland from King Aquatics in Washington state will try to take her down in the 100 free, as the 18-year-olds are both seeded with times in the 56-mid range.<\/p>\n<p>Russell Wood is another member of Canada\u2019s world championship team racing in the meet. After sweeping the backstroke events at the Canadian nationals, Wood will be looking to do the same in Vancouver. He\u2019ll have competition from American Carter Griffin, one of four swimmers from the University of Denver Hilltoppers attending the meet.<\/p>\n<p><a
