For more information about Agon, visit their website\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.agonswim.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Agonswim.com<\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Jim Brower has decided to step down as head coach after a storied reign at St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cincinnati.com\/story\/sports\/2015\/05\/12\/st-xavier-swimming-coach-jim-brower-moves-to-different-role-with-program\/27174003\/\" target=\"_blank\">according to Cincinnati.com<\/a>. Brower led the AquaBombers to 21 state titles in 23 years as head coach. In addition, he was named National High School Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 2004 and the Ohio Coach of the Year seven times.<\/p>\n<p>Brower does not intend on leaving the program. Instead, he plans to remain a full time varsity coach but will no longer serve as the head coach, according to the team.<\/p>\n<p>St. Xavier has already tabbed assistant coach Tim Beerman to serve as the interim coach for the 2015-2016 season. Beerman has been with the program for eight years. Previously, he was the head coach at Ursuline Academy where he won four state championships.<\/p>\n<p>Under Brower, St. Xavier was recognized National Champions by <em>Swimming World Magazine <\/em>in 1992 and 2001. In addition, Brower coached Olympic-gold-medalist Joe Hudepohl in 1992 and NCAA Champion Jayme Cramer in 2001.<\/p>\n<p>Brower began with St. Xavier in the 1988-1989 season. After his first season as head coach, St. Xavier won five straight state titles.<\/p>\n<p>Following his sixth season, he took time away from coaching to be with his family. He returned three years later, Brower\u2019s Aquabombers ripped off seven state championships in a row.
