Due to the injury, USA Swimming has now added Michael Klueh to the roster to replace McLean&#8217;s spot on the men&#8217;s 800-meter free relay.<\/p>\n<p>USA Swimming also announced that Jimmy Feigen, already on the team in the men&#8217;s 400-meter free relay, has been added to the 100-meter free individual event with Ryan Lochte electing to focus on the 200-meter free and 200-meter IM.<\/p>\n<p>McLean is currently making the decision on whether he will be able to rehab his way through the injury or have to get it fixed via surgery.<\/p>\n<p>This will be Klueh&#8217;s second time at the World Championships for Team USA after swimming in the gold medal winning 800 free relay at the 2013 World Championships in Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s also won a pair of gold medals in the same relay in short course competition at both the 2012 Istanbul and 2014 Doha short course world championships.<\/p>\n<p>Klueh&#8217;s biggest claim to international fame, however, has occurred at the World University Games. \u00a0He has four gold medals from his three separate times competing at the meet. \u00a0He started with a bronze in the 800 free relay at the 2005 Izmir event, before also competing in 2007 Bangkok and 2011 Shenzhen.<\/p>\n<div class=\"oembed-wrap\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">First, my thoughts go out to @MattBMcLean6F.
