CoSport has been appointed by the Rio 2016 Organizing Committee as the sole Authorized Ticket Reseller in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>On <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1962258608\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Aug. 5, 2016<\/span><\/span>, the world will come together in Rio de Janeiro for the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony, followed by 16 days of competition in one of Brazil\u2019s most unique destinations.<\/p>\n<p>In order to secure Individual Tickets offered as part of the initial sales phase, U.S. residents are invited to create a <a href=\"http:\/\/cosport.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">cosport.com<\/a> account and submit a non-binding ticket request by <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1962258609\"><span class=\"aQJ\">2 p.m. ET<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1962258610\"><span class=\"aQJ\">May 4, 2015<\/span><\/span>. All ticket requests submitted successfully the deadline will be given equal consideration regardless of when they were submitted within the ticket request phase. Interested buyers should carefully consider the event schedule, venue locations, budget and other factors before submitting a request. At the end of the request phase, no changes to ticket requests will be permitted.<\/p>\n<p>Once the inventory is established, CoSport will confirm which of the requested tickets will be offered for purchase by <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1962258611\"><span class=\"aQJ\">May 11, 2015<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0At that point, payment must be processed by <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1962258612\"><span class=\"aQJ\">2 p.m. ET<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1962258613\"><span class=\"aQJ\">May 15, 2015<\/span><\/span>. The next opportunity to purchase tickets will occur as part of a live sales process (first come, first served) starting at <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1962258614\"><span class=\"aQJ\">10 a.m. ET<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1962258615\"><span class=\"aQJ\">May 19, 2015<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Hotel and Ticket Packages from CoSport will be available exclusively through <a href=\"http:\/\/cosport.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">cosport.com<\/a> to the American public in the coming weeks.
