Yu Hexin moved into a third-ranked tie in the men’s 50-meter fly with a time of 23.37. \u00a0That’s the fourth 23.37 of the year and only Cesar Cielo (23.28) and Yauhen Tsurkin (23.36) have been faster. \u00a0Li Zhuhao placed second tonight in the sprint fly with a 23.79 with Shi Yang earning third in 23.89. \u00a0Yu beat the Asian\u00a0record in the 50 fly, previously held by both Zhou Jiawei and Wu Peng with 23.43s. Zhou posted his time at the 2009 Chinese Championships with Wu’s time coming at the 2013 World Championships.<\/p>\n
Li Xiang downed the Chinese record in the men’s 100-meter breast with a ninth-ranked time of 1:00.13. \u00a0That performance lowered the previous record of 1:00.31 set by Xie Zhi at the 2013 National Games in China. \u00a0Yan Zibei took second tonight in 1:00.68 with Wang Lizhuo posting a third-place time of 1:00.77.<\/p>\n
Chen Xinyi won the women’s 100-meter fly in a time of 57.80. \u00a0That time put her up to sixth in the world rankings. \u00a0Lu Ying finished just behind her in 57.96 for seventh in the world. \u00a0Zhou Yilin wound up taking third overall in the finale with a 58.64.<\/p>\n
Ye Shiwen pocketed the women’s 200-meter IM title in a time of 2:11.46 for seventh in the world rankings. \u00a0Zhang Sishi placed second in 2:12.57 with Wang Xinya earning third overall in 2:14.52.<\/p>\n
