Canadian swimmer Tara Sloan died of massive injuries suffered when she lost control of her minivan March 3 on the Trans-Canada Hwy., east of Medicine Hat.<\/p>\n
Tara Sloan's artistry in the pool and in living life was celebrated at her funeral yesterday.<\/p>\n
As a large contingent of University of Calgary teammates in their distinctive red and gold jackets listened, Sloan was remembered as a person whose passion for life overflowed beyond the pool. <\/p>\n
A banner celebrating her swim club's overall team triumph at the Canadian National Championships the day of her death was inscribed with the message, "we did it for you." <\/p>\n
