PHOENIX – This is the Poll of the week for Wednesday April 1, 2015 sponsored by Strechcordz Swim Training Products. In our last poll, we wanted to know how you felt about Michael Phelps DUI punishment and the thought of him returning to the World Championship roster. Looking back, as part of Michael\u2019s DUI suspension, he withdrew from the team that will compete in Russia this upcoming July.<\/p>\n

Just over half of the voters with 51% said Michael\u2019s suspension was fair but he should still be allowed to compete at Worlds. 21% said his suspension was extreme but he should compete. On the flip side, 20% said the suspension was fair but he should not race in Russia and the remaining 8% think Phelps should have received a more severe punishment. Thank you voters for weighing on the matter. Swimming World will update the community if USA Swimming makes any changes to their roster.<\/p>\nIn this week\u2019s poll, we want to relive the NCAA championships that concluded earlier this month. First, we will focus on the women. With many impressive swims, the women\u2019s meet clocked 5 American and NCAA records making several women the fastest to have ever swum these events in short course yards. We want to know, which American record do you think was the most impressive performance? The options are Simone Manuel reclaiming her American record in the 100 Free with a 46.09, Missy Franklin, the first woman under 1:40 in the 200 Free: 1:39.1, Kelsi Worrell\u2019s 100 Fly: 49.81 besting Natalie Coughlin\u2019s 13 year old record and breaking the 50 second barrier, the Stanford 400 Medley Relay: 3:26.41 or Stanford\u2019s 400 Free Relay: 3:08.54.
