{"id":129560,"date":"2015-03-31T09:51:19","date_gmt":"2015-03-31T16:51:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=129560"},"modified":"2015-03-31T09:51:19","modified_gmt":"2015-03-31T16:51:19","slug":"jeanette-ottesen-pops-2nd-fastest-100-fly-in-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/jeanette-ottesen-pops-2nd-fastest-100-fly-in-world\/","title":{"rendered":"Jeanette Ottesen Pops 2nd-Fastest 100 Fly in World"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jeanette Ottesen leapfrogged Emma McKeon into second in the world in the women&#8217;s 100-meter fly at the Danish Open today.<\/p>\n<p>Ottesen clocked a top time of 57.23 tonight, moving her up from a third-ranked 58.03 to second ahead of McKeon&#8217;s 57.76 from the NSW State Championships. \u00a0Only Sarah Sjostrom has been faster with a 56.58 from the Marseilles stop of the Golden Tour.<\/p>\n<p>Louise Hansson placed second tonight in the 100 fly with a 58.81, while Maria Ugolkova earned third in 59.75.<\/p>\n<p>Hansson then won the women&#8217;s 200-meter IM with a 2:12.72 to move to ninth in the world rankings. \u00a0Barbora Zavadova (2:13.88) and Alicja Tchorz (2:16.46) took second and third.<\/p>\n<p>Pawel Korzeniowski moved up to 10th in the world rankings in the men&#8217;s 100-meter fly with a first-place 52.42. \u00a0Viktor Bromer took second in 52.72 with Jan Sefl earning third in 53.70.<\/p>\n<p>Mads Glaesner clocked a 3:49.94 to win the men&#8217;s 400-meter freestyle tonight, while Pal Joensen managed to take second in 3:51.32. \u00a0Wojciech Wojdak placed third in 3:57.02.<\/p>\n<p>Maj Howardsen claimed the women&#8217;s 400-meter free title in 4:17.33. \u00a0Anina Nicole Lund (4:18.13) and Julie Aglund Lauridsen (4:18.28) rounded out the top three.<\/p>\n<p>Francois Heersbrandt took home the men&#8217;s 50-meter back title in 25.74 with Lavrans Solli placing second in 25.87. \u00a0Kevin Witt Christensen wound up third in 26.35.<\/p>\n<p>Poland&#8217;s Alicja Tchorz touched in 29.12 to win the women&#8217;s 50-meter back as Julie Kepp Jensen placed second in 29.18. \u00a0Eyglo Osk Gustafsdottir snared third in 29.31.<\/p>\n<p>Jan Switkowski won the men&#8217;s 200-meter IM in 2:03.93 with Marcin Suzin taking second in 2:04.44. \u00a0Samuel Tornqvist finished third in 2:07.73.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/results\/2015-danish-open-day-four-day-4\/international-elite\/2015\/March\/28\" target=\"_blank\">2015 Danish Open, Day Four &#8211; Results<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jeanette Ottesen leapfrogged Emma McKeon into second in the world in the women&#8217;s 100-meter fly at the Danish Open today.
