{"id":129535,"date":"2015-03-31T08:08:37","date_gmt":"2015-03-31T15:08:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=129535"},"modified":"2015-03-31T08:08:37","modified_gmt":"2015-03-31T15:08:37","slug":"australian-swimming-championships-to-be-webcast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/australian-swimming-championships-to-be-webcast\/","title":{"rendered":"Australian Swimming Championships To Be Webcast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the first time, fans will be able to follow their swimming heroes live on their digital devices with Network Ten\u2019s industry-leading digital platform, tenplay, set to live-stream all the finals action each night of the 2015 Hancock Prospecting Australian Swimming Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Ten Sport\u2019s Mel McLaughlin and Lachy Reid, along with expert commentator Nicole Livingstone, will bring viewers all the action each night from 6.30pm AEST on tenplay and later on ONE, as the nation\u2019s best swimmers secure their spots on the team for the upcoming FINA World Championships.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited for Network Ten to bring a new element of digital broadcast to the Hancock Prospecting Australian Swimming Championships,\u201d Swimming Australia CEO Mark Anderson said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMore and more people are using digital devices to watch sport now and it\u2019s great that no matter where you are in Australia, you can tune in to see the swimmers race for a spot on the Australian Dolphins Swim Team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNetwork Ten have been a great supporter of Australian swimming and to have both a televised and live-stream option for the finals of this important selection event is a great step forward into the digital space for the sport,\u201d Anderson said.<\/p>\n<p>Swimming fans all over the country will be able to tune in as James Magnussen and Cameron McEvoy look to settle the score in the men\u2019s 100m freestyle and Cate and Bronte Campbell battle for sibling supremacy in the sprint freestyle events.<\/p>\n<p>The Australian public will be able to see Commonwealth Games and Pan Pacific Champion Emily Seebohm as she chases her eighth Australian title in the 100m backstroke and Commonwealth Games and World Short Course Champion Mitch Larkin in action the corresponding men\u2019s event.<\/p>\n<p>Seven years after his last Australian Championships, Grant Hackett will make a return to racing and to television screens around the country, where he will face the likes of rising stars Thomas Fraser-Holmes, David McKeon and Mack Horton.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to being able to view the finals on smart phones, tablets, computers and other digital devices, all the action will also be telecast on ONE.
