Wednesday, December 06, Day 3<\/b>
\nThe old hump day is here. We only had one practice on the day, which allows us to rest up for the second half of the week that should prove as taxing as the first half. This morning my group swam. We warmed up for a long freestyle set. <\/p>\n
Our main set was:

These were all on relatively easy\/recovery intervals. Coach Dan Colella wanted us to go back to the stroke count that we had used in Monday's practice and continue to work on our distance per stroke.<\/p>\n
Today, I had an unusually stressful senior class schedule; two classes. First was "Screenwriting," in which our goal for the semester was to write the first 45 pages of a feature length movie script (a feature length movie being around 100 pages). I am writing a script about a guy who wants to be a gold prospector, but the gold rush is over. Today was sadly our last meeting of the semester; we discussed each others scripts so far and made suggestions. <\/p>\n
After that, I got a tasty lunch with one of my roommates and teammates Jacob McCafferty. Then, I went to my late afternoon class "Food and Drink in European History," this is a senior history seminar about the effect food has had on civilization. Very broad, but very interesting stuff that is also fun when the professor brings in food. This, too, was my last class meeting for this class, except for a dinner at my professor's house on Friday evening. <\/p>\n
After a taxing afternoon in the classroom, I'm home in time to watch a not so stellar first half of the Duke Basketball game. They're going to have to pick it up in the second half. [editor's note \u2013 Duke came back to beat Holy Cross, 57-45.]<\/p>\n
