OVER a year and a half ago, in 2005, David Marsh came to an agreement to terms for a long-term contract with Auburn after being there for 16 years.<\/p>\n<p>Now, after winning 15 Southeastern Conference Championships and 10 NCAA National Championships when combining the men and women teams, Coach Marsh plans on leaving the college ranks to become part of a start-up concept on the club level.<\/p>\n<p>Swimming World Radio talked with David to help clarify the answers to questions about his turnabout and to quell persistent rumors about his departure. We have found that Jay Jacobs, Auburn Athletic Director has stuck by his original quote that &quot;We have done everything possible to keep Coach Marsh at Auburn, but he has been given an opportunity to pursue a dream of helping develop America&#39;s Olympic hopefuls.
