CHICAGO, Illinois, December 6. OAKLAND's Zoltan Horvath and Amanda Burwell have been selected as the Mid-Con Swimming and Diving Athletes of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Horvath earns Athlete of the Week accolades for the second time this season after his performance last week at the Miami Invitational. He recorded seven new top times in the Mid-Con this season in three individual events and four relays. <\/p>\n
Horvath placed first in the 100 breast (55.67) and 200 breast (2:03.62), and second in the 200 IM (1:53.02). He also swam on the Golden Grizzlies' 200 and 400 medley relays and 200 and 400 free relays that posted respective season-best times of 1:32.88, 3:22.40, 1:24.70 and 3:07.50. <\/p>\n
Burwell receives Athlete of the Week accolades for the second time this season after her performance last week at the Miami Invitational, as she was part of five new top times in the Mid-Con this season. <\/p>\n
She finished third in the 400 IM (4:31.52) and eighth in the 200 butterfly (2:08.71), and was part of the 200 and 400 medley relays, and 800 free relay that posted season-best times of 1:48.43, 3:58.93 and 7:41.30, respectively.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
