Pal Joensen’s world best in the men’s 800-meter free led a handful of top-five times during day one of the Danish Open.<\/p>\n

Joensen clocked a world best time in the men’s 800-meter free with a 7:52.82, while Mads Glaesner moved to third this year with a second-place 7:58.88. \u00a0Only Damien Joly has joined them under 8:00 with a 7:56.90 from the Amiens stop of the Golden Tour.<\/p>\n

Wojciech Wojdak of Poland finished third tonight in the 800 free with an 8:02.87.<\/p>\n

Viktor Bromer threw down the second-fastest men’s 200-meter fly of the year with a 1:55.67. \u00a0He moved behind Daiya Seto (1:55.61) and ahead of Andrew Seliskar (1:55.92) with the sizzling swim. \u00a0Jan Switkowski took second in 1:57.76 with Michal Poprawa earning third in 2:02.38.<\/p>\n

Jeanette Ottesen scorched the women’s 50-meter free with a 24.66. \u00a0That swim pushed her to third in the world behind Cate (24.03) and Bronte (24.24) Campbell. \u00a0Pernille Blume took second tonight in 25.15, while Julie Levisen placed third in 25.69.<\/p>\n

Mie Nielsen, who stands second in the world with a 59.14 from the Marseilles stop of the Golden Tour<\/a>, took the women’s 100-meter back title tonight in 59.57. \u00a0Ida Lindborg finished second in 1:01.15 with Simona Baumrtova earning third in 1:01.30.<\/p>\n

Fanny Lecluyse won the women’s 50-meter breast with a time of 31.17. \u00a0That swim pushed her to fifth in the world. \u00a0Jenna Laukkanen took second in 31.23 to tie Sophie Taylor for sixth in the world, while Louise Dalgaard finished third in 31.70.<\/p>\n

Andrey Govorov took the men’s 50-meter free crown with a 22.25 that put him just outside the top 10 in the world. \u00a0Francois Heersbrandt finished second in 22.68 with Sebastian Szczepanski claiming third in 22.89.<\/p>\n

Niels Mortensen won the men’s 100-meter free in 1:03.43 with Niklas Jacobsen taking second in 1:11.13. \u00a0Jonas Nibe Klit earned third in 1:11.72.<\/p>\n

Amalie Vinther took home the women’s 100-meter free in 1:10.79. \u00a0Camilla Aagaard (1:14.98) and Laura Christensen (1:15.90) finished second and third.<\/p>\n

Julia Aglund Lauridsen clocked an 8:48.91 to win the women’s 800-meter free. \u00a0Martina Elhenicka took second in 8:52.26 with Anina Nicole Lund claiming third in 8:53.76.<\/p>\n

Lavrans Solli hit the wall in 55.71 to win the men’s 100-meter back. \u00a0Mateusz Wysoczynski placed second in 56.21 with Kevin Witt Christensen earning third in 57.13.<\/p>\n

Barbora Zavadova topped the women’s 200-meter fly in 2:13.74 with Alicja Tchorz earning second in 2:14. \u00a0Isabella Sorensen took third in 2:14.86.<\/p>\n

Christian Rasmussen captured the men’s 50-meter breast in 28.70 with Philip Greve taking second in 28.79. \u00a0Krzysztof Tokarski placed third in 28.87.<\/p>\n
