2006) as recent Wolfpack sprint freestyle NCAA titlists.<\/p>\n<p>Alabama&#8217;s Kristian Gkolomeev, who won the 50-yard free last year by tying Arizona&#8217;s Brad Tandy, qualified second this morning in 42.23.<\/p>\n<p>Southern California&#8217;s Cristian Quintero, the 200-yard free victor last night, qualified third in 42.26 with Michigan&#8217;s Bruno Ortiz tying that time to share a piece of the third seed as well.<\/p>\n<p>Texas&#8217; Will Licon, <a title=\"NCAA Division I Men\u2019s Championships: Will Licon Stuns Chase Kalisz With 4th Fastest Time in 400 IM\" href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ncaa-division-i-mens-championships-will-licon-stuns-chase-kalisz-with-4th-fastest-time-in-400-im\/\" target=\"_blank\">who upset American-record holder Chase Kalisz in the 400-yard IM last night<\/a>, clocked a scorching 1:49.54 to lead qualifying this morning.<\/p>\n<p>That swim put him second all time behind American and NCAA record holder Kevin Cordes&#8217; Jack Conger, <a title=\"Watch Jack Conger Break 200 Fly American Record (Race Video)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/watch-jack-conger-break-200-fly-american-record-race-video\/\" target=\"_blank\">who set the American record with a 1:39.31 at a time trial at Big 12s last month<\/a>, qualified second this morning in 1:40.97. the 800 free relay win with a 400 free relay victory after earning the top seed this morning at the NCAA Division I Men&#8217;s Championships.<\/p>\n<p>USC&#8217;s Cristian Quintero, Santo Condorelli, Ralf Tribuntsov and Dylan Carter claimed the top time in 2:48.24. \u00a0USC is looking for its ninth victory in the 400-yard free relay&#8217;s history at NCAAs.<\/p>\n<p>California&#8217;s Tyler Messerschmidt, Ryan Murphy, Fabio Gimondi and Seth Stubblefield turned in a second-seeded time of 2:48.28, while NC State&#8217;s Ryan Held, David Williams, Soeren Dahl and Simonas Bilis captured the third seed in 2:49.18.<\/p>\n<p>Texas&#8217; Brett Ringgold, John Murray, Matt Ellis and Kip Darmody also made the A final with a seventh-seeded 2:50.96 as the Longhorns secured Eddie Reese&#8217;s
