Kevin Cordes and Nic Fink cemented their status as the two best breaststrokers tonight at the men\u2019s NCAA championships by finishing first and second, respectively, in the 100 breast in Iowa City. Unlike previous years, Cordes\u2019 win was not as assured, given that he hadn\u2019t put up times during the season that hinted at something fast at the NCAA meet. In an interview with the media, he talked about the decision to take a different approach to the season by not putting in a full taper for his midseason championship meet.<\/p>\n
