IN the final SwimmingWorldMagazine.com Meet of the Week until the spring, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps came up aces with a sweep of Occidental on Saturday.  The CMS women completely dominated their meet, 183-48, with a swimming event sweep, while the CMS men held off a scrappy Oxy squad, 131-112.<\/p>\n<p>The top performance of the day belonged to CMS&#39; Gwen Kremer, who provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships in the 200 back.<\/p>\n<p><b>Women&#39;s 400 Medley Relay<\/b><br \/>\nCMS opened up strong with a top-two sweep in the 400 medley relay.  The foursome of Jessica Harrang, Lisal Smith, Lauren Kristensen and Monica Brazelton won in 4:07.10, while the quartet of Gwen Kremer, Emily Rees, Amy Jarvis and Lisa Hill took second in 4:15.64.  Oxy&#39;s contingent of Sara Mendoza, Katie Brush, Kelsey Fuller and Eliza Callwood completed the event with a third-place 4:23.21.<\/p>\n<p><b>Men&#39;s 400 Medley Relay<\/b><br \/>\nOccidental kept the men&#39;s meet much closer by starting off with a win.  The squad of Dickson Fai, Jeven Dovey, Matt Harter and Sean Inoue touched in 3:42.01, while CMS&#39; team of Matt Gannon, Xande Wright, Shea Manning and Tyler Owens placed second in 3:48.01.<\/p>\n<p><b>Women&#39;s 1650 Freestyle<\/b><br \/>\nCMS went 1-2 again in the distance free as Danielle Peebles (18:35.29) and Jerrah Holth (18:56.47) took first and second, respectively.  Oxy&#39;s Kayla Schott-Bresler took third in 19:44.57.<\/p>\n<p><b>Men&#39;s 1650 Freestyle<\/b><br \/>\nCMS countered in the distance event with a 1-2 sweep.  Jim Niergarth stopped the clock in 17:52.70, while teammate Michael West placed second in 18:01.29.  Oxy&#39;s Michael Wong took third in 18:18.27.<\/p>\n<p><b>Women&#39;s 200 Freestyle<\/b><br \/>\nCMS posted a top-three sweep in the 200 free as Lauren Kristensen (1:57.62), Jordan Stewart (2:01.52) and Gwen Kremer (2:05.93) took the podium spots.  Oxy&#39;s Eileen McMillan took fourth in 2:06.73.<\/p>\n<p><b>Men&#39;s 200 Freestyle<\/b><br \/>\nOccidental rebounded in the 200 free with a win.  Dickson Fai touched first in 1:47.98, while CMS swimmers Alex Hill (1:52.19) and Shea Manning (1:53.38) rounded out the top three.<\/p>\n<p><b>Women&#39;s 50 Freestyle<\/b><br \/>\nCMS kept it going with a 1-2 finish in the sprint free.  Quirina Mitchell touched first in 25.07, while Monica Brazelton placed second in 25.45.  Eliza Callwood finished third for Oxy in 25.91.<\/p>\n<p><b>Men&#39;s 50 Freestyle<\/b><br \/>\nOxy continued to surge with another win in the 50 free.  Adam Kantor took down the title in 22.38, while CMS swimmers John Sloat (22.56) and J.P. Wright (22.96) finished second and third, respectively.<\/p>\n<p><b>Women&#39;s 200 IM<\/b><br \/>\nCMS did not let up in the 200 IM with a top-two sweep.  Amy Fuller hit the wall in 2:16.96 to win, while Caitrin O&#39;Brien finished second in 2:20.59.  Oxy&#39;s Kelsey Fuller scored third in 2:23.50.<\/p>\n<p><b>Men&#39;s 200 IM<\/b><br \/>\nCMS mounted a comeback in the 200 IM.  Matt Gannon won the event in 2:04.68, while Ryan Toohey placed second in 2:05.85.  Oxy&#39;s Jeven Dovey took third in 2:06.16.<\/p>\n<p><b>Women&#39;s 200 Butterfly<\/b><br \/>\nIn another 1-2-3, CMS dominated the 200 fly.  Lisal Smith (2:13.96), Amy Fuller (2:15.39) and Jordan Stewart (2:17.33) each claimed top spots, while Oxy&#39;s Kelsey Fuller finished fourth in 2:21.70.<\/p>\n<p><b>Men&#39;s 200 Butterfly<\/b><br \/>\nOccidental fought back in the 200 fly with a 1-2 finish.  Matt Harter placed first in 2:04.99, while Toshi Baker finished second in 2:08.03.  CMS&#39; Shea Manning rounded out the top three in 2:13.60.<\/p>\n<p><b>Women&#39;s 100 Freestyle<\/b><br \/>\nCMS ran its winning streak to seven events with a 1-2 effort in the 100 free. Danielle Peebles won in 55.48, while Quirina Mitchell took second in 55.57.  Oxy&#39;s Eliza Callwood finished third in 56.93.<\/p>\n<p><b>Men&#39;s 100 Freestyle<\/b><br \/>\nCMS went 1-3 in the two-lap freestyle event to push back at Oxy.  John Sloat won in 49.05, while Stephen Andron placed third in 50.58.  Oxy&#39;s Adam Kantor split the difference in 49.13 for second.<\/p>\n<p><b>Women&#39;s 200 Backstroke<\/b><br \/>\nIn the fastest performance of the meet, CMS&#39; Gwen Kremer provisionally qualified for the Division III Championships with a first-place 2:07.03 to pace a trio of CMS swimmers at the top of the 200 back.  Jessica Harrang (2:10.84) and Caitrin O&#39;Brien (2:19.12) earned second and third, respectively.  Oxy&#39;s Eileen McMillan grabbed fourth in 2:19.54.<\/p>\n<p><b>Men&#39;s 200 Backstroke<\/b><br \/>\nOxy&#39;s Dickson Fai battled back for his team to win the 200 back in 1:57.35, while CMS went 2-3.  Matt Gannon (2:05.38) and Jon Wisniewski (2:08.75) placed second and third, respectively, for CMS.<\/p>\n<p><b>Women&#39;s 500 Freestyle<\/b><br \/>\nCMS went 1-3 in the middle distance freestyle.  Jerrah Holth won in 5:29.11, while Alli Spring claimed third in 5:50.32.  In one of the better performances for Oxy all day, Chloe Thulstrup took second in 5:35.89.<\/p>\n<p><b>Men&#39;s 500 Freestyle<\/b><br \/>\nCMS responded in the 500 free with a 1-2 effort.  Michael West touched first in 5:08.18, while Jim Niergarth placed second in 5:09.25.  Oxy&#39;s Mike Wong took third in 5:11.25.<\/p>\n<p><b>Women&#39;s 200 Breaststroke<\/b><br \/>\nCMS scored another top-three sweep in the 200 breast.  Lauren Kristensen (2:31.17), Amy Fuller (2:32.68) and Emily Rees (2:36.55) went 1-2-3, while Oxy&#39;s Katie Brush finished fourth in 2:42.00.<\/p>\n<p><b>Men&#39;s 200 Breaststroke<\/b><br \/>\nCMS built up some distance between itself and Oxy in the 200 breast as Ryan Toohey gave CMS its second straight title in 2:18.16.  Oxy swimmers claimed the second and third spots as Jeven Dovey (2:19.55) and Abiel Garcia (2:23.34) went 2-3.<\/p>\n<p><b>Women&#39;s 400 Freestyle Relay<\/b><br \/>\nCMS completed the swimming event title sweep as Lisal Smith, Danielle Peebles, Monica Brazelton and Quirina Mitchell clocked a 3:42.15 for first.  Oxy&#39;s team of Jordan Stewart, Jerrah Holth, Jessica Harrang and Caitrin O&#39;Brien scored the top Oxy time of 3:54.11 for third. <\/p>\n<p><b>Men&#39;s 400 Freestyle Relay<\/b><br \/>\nCMS snared its third consecutive title in the 400 free relay when Ben Draa, Tyler Owens, J.P. Wright and John Sloat claimed the crown in 3:18.66.  Oxy&#39;s quartet of Adam Kantor, Matt Harter, Cameron Carlson and Sean Inoue finished second in 3:21.58.<\/p>\n<p><b>Women&#39;s One-Meter Diving<\/b><br \/>\nCeleste Faber provided Oxy with its only titles as she swept the diving events.  In the one-meter, she score a 203.60 to win in front of CMS divers Monica Emanuel (202.80) and Kat Shultis (180.15).<\/p>\n<p><b>Men&#39;s One-Meter Diving<\/b><br \/>\nOccidental nearly made up the difference in diving with top-two sweeps on both boards.  Robert Dohring won the one-meter with 287.90 points, a zone-qualifying total, while Jon Dohring also cleared the zone standard with a second-place 279.10.  CMS&#39; Mark Emanuel took third with 258.50 points.<\/p>\n<p><b>Women&#39;s Three-Meter Diving<\/b><br \/>\nCeleste Faber completed the diving sweep with 213.65 points, while CMS&#39; Kat Shultis (183.85) and Amanda Reis (142.40) closed out the top three. At the end of the meet, CMS won, 183-48.<\/p>\n<p><b>Men&#39;s Three-Meter Diving<\/b><br \/>\nThe dueling Dohrings traded spots in the three-meter as Jon won with a zone-standard 292.20 points and Robert took second with 284.10 points.  Mark Emanuel provided CMS&#39; top points in the event with a third-place 279.15 tally.
