GREENSBORO- UVA’s Leah Smith went off at NCAAs this year. She set the NCAA record in the 500 free (4:30.37) then owned the pool throughout the 1650 free (15:34.46). Her confidence was bolstered going into the mile, after taking the title in the 500. Smith will compete in her first open water event in April, then has a busy summer- traveling to World University Games in South Korea and onto World Championships in Kazan, Russia. <\/p>\n
