For full Swimming World coverage, check out our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/2015-ncaa-womens-di-swimming-and-diving-championships\/\" target=\"_blank\">coverage\u00a0page<\/a>.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p>In one of the closest NCAA 100-yard breast finishes ever, Stanford\u2019s Sarah Haase touched out Alabama\u2019s Kaylin Burchell at the NCAA Division I Women\u2019s Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Haase earned Stanford\u2019s seventh 100-yard breast title of all time with a 58.32-58.38 victory over Burchell. \u00a0That\u2019s a .06 second triumph, just off the NCAA record for the smallest margin of victory.<\/p>\n<p>SMU\u2019s Susan Lipscomb downed Texas\u2019 Dorsey Tierney, 1:01.28 to 1:01.31, back in 1992.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Sarah Haase, Stanford<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>On the tight finish<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>\u201cI had no idea.. I mean, I saw we were all pretty close in that last 25 and actually, I looked over at my teammates and saw they went crazy before I even looked at the time so I was like, maybe that\u2019s a good thing? But, I mean I couldn&#8217;t be more happy.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you think makes a difference in a race like this that is so tightly bunched?<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>\u201cYeah, I mean I think it&#8217;s mainly sticking to your own race plan.
