For full Swimming World coverage, check out our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/2015-ncaa-womens-di-swimming-and-diving-championships\/\" target=\"_blank\">coverage\u00a0page<\/a>.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p>California kicked off the night with a sizzling performance in the 200 medley relay at the NCAA Division I Women\u2019s Championship.<\/p>\n<p>California, which DQed this event last year to likely cost them an NCAA championship, put up a 1:35.15 for the win from Rachel Bootsma, Marina Garcia, Noemie Thomas and Farida Osman.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s California\u2019s fourth victory in the event ever.<\/p>\n<p>Other California wins:<\/p>\n<p><strong>2000<\/strong> California (Haley Cope, Staciana Stitts, Waen Minpraphal, Joscelin Yeo), 1:49.23 *SCM<br \/>\n<strong>2011<\/strong> California (Cindy Tran, Caitlin Leverenz, Colleen Fotsch, Liv Jensen), 1:35.03<br \/>\n<strong>2012<\/strong> California (Cindy Tran, Caitlin Leverenz, Colleen Fotsch, Liv Jensen), 1:34.24<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Farida Osman, California<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>On how big the win was for Cal<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>&#8220;Yeah, with this relay we just really wanted to get after it. We all swam really well, so I&#8217;m happy with that.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Kelsi Worrell, who popped a 22.07 butterfly split this morning and broke the 100-yard fly NCAA and American record with a 49.89, went even faster for the Cardinals tonight with a 21.96 split as Tanja Kylliainen, Andee Cottrell, Worrell and Andrea Kneppers took second in 1:35.75.
