The remainder of the Top 10 remains consistent from the March 11 voting as San Jose State University (64 points) and Princeton University (54 points) hold on at No. 9 and 10, respectively.

The University of California-Davis (50 points) holds on at No. 11, while Loyola Marymount University (37 points), Indiana University (35 points) and Wagner College (31 points) rise to No. 12-to-14.

Long Beach State University (30 points) slides to No. 15, while the University of California-Santa Barbara (24 points) jumps up to No. 16.

Over the final four positions, San Diego State University (23 points) and the University of the Pacific (22 points) descend to No. 17 and 18, with the University of California-San Diego (16 points) and Santa Clara University (8 points) exchanging slots at No. 19 and 20.

2015 Varsity Top 20 (Week 9/March 18)

Rank Team Week 8 Poll Points
1 University of California-Los Angeles 1 100
2 Stanford University 2 95
3 University of Southern California 3 90
4 University of California 4 85
5 University of California-Irvine 5 79
6 Arizona State University 6 70
7 University of Hawaii 8 69
8 California State University-Northridge 7 67
9 San Jose State University 9 64
10 Princeton University 10 54
11 University of California-Davis 11 50
12 Loyola Marymount University 13 37
13 Indiana University 16 35
14 Wagner College 17 31
15 Long Beach State University 14 30
16 University of California-Santa Barbara 18 24
17 San Diego State University 12 23
18 University of the Pacific 15 22
19 University of California-San Diego 20 (T) 16
20 Santa Clara University 19 8
RV University of Michigan 20 (T) 5

2015 Women’s Varsity Division III Top 10 (Week 9)

The No. 1 team in the Week 9/March 18 Women’s Varsity Division III Top 10 Poll becomes plural this week as former runner-up Pomona-Pitzer Colleges pulls even with Whittier College.

The Poets of Whittier and Sagehens of Pomona-Pitzer both pick up 97 points as the teams move into a deadheat on top of the rankings.

Chapman University (90 points), Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (87 points) and California Lutheran University (79 points) maintain an All-California Top Five by standing at No. 3-to-5, respectively.

The biggest change comes at No. 6 as Connecticut College (73 points) jumps up to spots after tying at No. 8 last week. In both sets of rankings, a change of one position for either the Camels or the Presidents in the Top 10 or Top Five would shift the balance between the two programs.

Changes keep coming in the Division III rankings as Macalester (89 points) slides in front of Carthage College (86 points) to take over at No. 3.

2010, 2011 and 2012 CWPA Division III Champion Grove City College (48 points) rounds out the Top Five for another week.

Utica College (32 points) also received votes.

2015 CWPA Division III Poll (Week 9/March 18)

Rank Team Week 8 Poll Points
1 Washington & Jefferson College 1 (T) 98
2 Connecticut College 1 (T) 97
3 Macalester College 4 89
4 Carthage College 3 86
5 Grove City College 5 48
RV Utica College RV 32

The above article is a press release submitted to Swimming World.
