Manuela Sampaio of the Etown Dolphins, the top seed after prelims, came in second at 4:22.73, while Linn-Mar&#8217;s Kelsey Drake posted a 4:25.25 for third.<\/p>\n<p>Christian Carbone dominated the men&#8217;s 400 IM final, winning by more than four and a half seconds with a 3:53.00. Piranhas Swim Club&#8217;s Nicholas Staver dropped seven seconds from prelims to take second in 3:57.51, a little less than a second in front of Kenneth Mende (3:58.47).<\/p>\n<p>Central Iowa&#8217;s Madeleine Gehrke held onto her top seed position in the women&#8217;s 50 free final, topping the championship heat in 23.03. Clovis Swim Club&#8217;s Danielle Herrmann, a double event winner last night, took second in 23.12, followed by Barrington Swim Club&#8217;s Valerie Tarazi in third at 23.52.<\/p>\n<p>Carl Weigley gave Clovis its first win of the night as he posted a 20.27 in the men&#8217;s 50 free, comfortably in front of Iowa Flyers&#8217; William Scott (20.51). Iowa Flyers&#8217; Isaac Eyman Casey moved way up from his eighth place qualifying swim with a 20.58 for third.<\/p>\n<p>Clovis Swim Club&#8217;s Danielle Herrmann made it a clean sweep of the breaststroke events in Iowa City, claiming the 200 breast title tonight in 2:11.23. Imelda Wistey finished second behind Herrmann again, posting a 2:16.74 in finals. Peoria Area&#8217;s Noel Peplowski rounded out the top three in 2:17.16.<\/p>\n<p>Sean Mahoney of the Terrapins also swept the breaststroke events on the men&#8217;s side, setting meet records in both with a 1:55.10 tonight. He cut nearly two seconds off Ivan Gutesa&#8217;s 2009 meet record of 1:56.93. Minnesota&#8217;s John Bushman also swam under the previous mark with a 1:56.43. Both swimmers finished way ahead of the rest of the field, as Piranhas Swim Club&#8217;s Nicholas Staver took third in 2:01.97.<\/p>\n<p>Barrington Swim Club&#8217;s Kirsten Jacobsen continued her dominance in the distance freestyle events, adding a win in the 500 free to her victories in the 200 and 1000 earlier in the meet with a 4:44.94 in finals. Mitchell Aquatic Club&#8217;s Tevyn Waddell, who&#8217;s had an equally impressive meet with a pair of wins last night, touched second in 4:52.57, while Life Time Arizona&#8217;s Isabel Whited took third in 4:54.32.<\/p>\n<p>Glenview Titan&#8217;s Sam Iida topped the men&#8217;s 500 free in 4:29.36, comfortably in front of Clovis teammates Tanner Olmos (4:32.12) and Colin Cavanaugh (4:33.33).<\/p>\n<p>In relay action, Clovis&#8217; foursome of Stephanie Bartel, Danielle Herrmann, Caitlyn Snyder and Skyler Elkington broke the meet record in the women&#8217;s 400 medley relay with a 3:44.34. Foxjet set the previous record of 3:48.86 way back in 2001. Terrapins&#8217; Samantha Coloma, Emily Ortner, Allie Klinger and Malorie Han got to the wall second in 3:50.63, while Barrington&#8217;s Valerie Tarazi, Andrea Vega, Emma Graves and Kirsten Jacobsen got to the wall third in 3:52.17.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s medley relay, the Terrapins quartet of Maxwell Bottene, Sean Mahoney, Evan Brock and Nathan Barsanti bested the field with a 3:21.06, well ahead of Clovis&#8217; Matthew Elkington, Omar Dwidar, Carl Weigley and Graham Hauss (3:22.90). Charles Warren, Mackenzie Faldet, John Colin and Jordan Huff gave Dubuque Area a third place showing in 3:25.36.<\/p>\n<p>Clovis leads the team standings through day three with 639 points, with
