{"id":125594,"date":"2015-03-06T19:19:55","date_gmt":"2015-03-07T02:19:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=125594"},"modified":"2015-03-06T19:19:55","modified_gmt":"2015-03-07T02:19:55","slug":"stefan-stojmenovic-lowers-njcaa-record-in-100-fly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/stefan-stojmenovic-lowers-njcaa-record-in-100-fly\/","title":{"rendered":"Stefan Stojmenovic Lowers NJCAA Record in 100 Fly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BUFFALO &#8211; Stefan Stojmenovic led the way with an NJCAA record in the 100-yard fly at the NJCAA Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Indian River has already secured its 41st men&#8217;s and 33rd women&#8217;s title with a day to go.<\/p>\n<p>The men are ahead of Iowa Lakes, 1274-661, while the women lead 1037-775 against Monroe Community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s Meet<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>IRSC&#8217;s Taylor Lovemore (25.68), Christina Loh (28.46), Barbara Caraballo (25.72) and Leah Sim (23.52) won the women&#8217;s 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:43.38.<\/p>\n<p>Monroe took second in 1:49.98 with Iowa Lakes in third with a 1:50.06.<\/p>\n<p>IRSC&#8217;s Barbara Caraballo topped the women&#8217;s 400-yard IM with a time of 4:28.12, while teammate Olivia Jacobi touched second in 4:35.74. \u00a0Iowa Lakes&#8217;s Grace Conlon snared third with a 4:40.97.<\/p>\n<p>IRSC&#8217;s Tayla Lovemore punched the clock in 54.18 to win the women&#8217;s 100-yard fly title. \u00a0South Georgia&#8217;s Carolyn Ives finished a distant second in 58.79 with IRSC&#8217;s Grace Lynch earning third in 59.28.<\/p>\n<p>IRSC&#8217;s Rebecca Halfast clinched the women&#8217;s 200-yard free crown in 1:52.76 with Monroe&#8217;s Tamara Miler posting a second-place time of 1:53.03. \u00a0Indian River&#8217;s Sarah Neely turned in a third-place 1:56.64.<\/p>\n<p>IRSC&#8217;s Christina Loh won the women&#8217;s 100-yard breast in 1:01.80 with teammate Laure Grinnel taking second in 1:04.16. \u00a0Iowa Lakes&#8217; Hannah White picked up third in 1:07.57.<\/p>\n<p>IRSC&#8217;s Rebecca Halfast doubled up with a 57.28 in the women&#8217;s 100-yard back. \u00a0Iowa Lakes&#8217; Cheyenne Rova finished second in 57.69 with IRSC&#8217;s Kaitlyn Yearout placing third in 58.38.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s Meet<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>IRSC&#8217;s Stefan Stojmenovic (21.85), Craig Emslie (24.18), Shota Nakano (21.85) and Bryce Timonera (19.91) took home the men&#8217;s 200-yard medley relay title in 1:27.79.<\/p>\n<p>South Georgia finished second in 1:34.77 with Southwest Oregon earning third in 1:36.24.<\/p>\n<p>IRSC went 1-2-3 in the one-meter diving event. \u00a0Zach Duval won with 512.20 points. \u00a0David Zarb took second with 491.90 points, while Robert Morgan snared third with 447.00 points.<\/p>\n<p>IRSC also went 1-2-3 in the men&#8217;s 400-yard IM. \u00a0Quinn Poti took the title in 4:00.10 with Brandon Thoman finishing second in 4:07.65. \u00a0Ronald Santos placed third in 4:08.01.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this morning, IRSC&#8217;s Stefan Stojmenovic set the men&#8217;s 100-yard fly NJCAA record with a 47.05. \u00a0He downed that mark again with a scorching 46.99 in finals as he led a ridiculous 1-2-3-4-5-6 for IRSC.<\/p>\n<p>Shota Nakano (48.27) and Bryce Timonera (48.86) were the other podium placers in the finale.<\/p>\n<p>IRSC&#8217;s Adam Wise took home the men&#8217;s 200-yard free crown in 1:39.14. \u00a0Monroe&#8217;s Michael Klugo placed second in 1:39.99 with IRSC&#8217;s Bradley Adan taking third in 1:40.84.<\/p>\n<p>IRSC went 1-2-3 in the men&#8217;s 100-yard breast. \u00a0Craig Emslie won in 54.48 with Serginn Marten placing second in 54.59.
