For more information about Agon, visit their website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.agonswim.com\">Agonswim.com<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>LINCOLN \u2013 The Marian High School girls and Creighton Prep High School boys brought home the respective team titles Saturday night at the Nebraska High School Swimming and Diving Championships at the University of Nebraska.<\/p>\n<p>The girls\u2019 meet couldn\u2019t have been much closer, as only half a point separated Marian (357 points) from runner-up Lincoln Southwest (356.5 points). Lincoln Southwest won the final relay, but couldn\u2019t make up the point differential. Burke finished third overall with 204 points. It was a much different story on the boys\u2019 side, as Creighton Prep dominated the meet with 475 points, more than 200 ahead of Lincoln Southwest\u2019s 271 points. PLV\/PLVS finished third with 202.5 points.<\/p>\n<p>Three girls left the meet with multiple individual titles in hand \u2013 Pius X\u2019s Caroline Theil and Lincoln Southwest\u2019s Dannie Dilsaver and Olivia Calegan. Theil, a freshman, got her high school state meet career off to a great start by winning the opening individual race of the meet. Theil cruised to a 1:50.40 in the 200 free, just off her prelim swim of 1:50.11 but still well in front of Lincoln Southwest\u2019s Alana Palmer (1:52.90) and PLV\/PLVS\u2019 Brianna McCullough (1:54.47). Later on, Theil topped the 100 free in 51.00, nearly two seconds ahead of Elk\/Elk South\u2019s Bryn Lohrberg, who came in at 52.95. McCullough added another third place finish with her 52.98.<\/p>\n<p>Lincoln Southwest\u2019s Dannie Dilsaver out-split the rest of her competitors by more than a second on the breaststroke leg en route to the state title in the 200 IM with a 2:03.00. Westside\u2019s Elizabeth Amato-Hanne led at the halfway point but slipped to second in 2:03.64, while Burke\u2019s Dana Posthuma claimed third in 2:05.58. Dilsaver added a second win in the 500 free as she stopped the clock at 5:02.30 to take down Lincoln Southwest\u2019s Alana Palmer (5:04.94) and Millard North\u2019s Holly Hopson (5:06.96).<\/p>\n<p>Olivia Calegan picked up a pair of wins for Lincoln Southwest, in the 50 free and 100 breast. In the 50, Calegan touched in 23.17 to finish comfortably in front of Marian teammates Naeleah Hadford (23.52) and Brynn Robertson (24.02). Calegan dominated the 100 breast, finishing out front by more than three seconds with a 1:02.54. Ralston\/Gross\u2019 Monica Blake (1:05.88) and Millard North\u2019s Holly Hopson (1:06.96) took second and third.<\/p>\n<p>Creighton Prep was paced by the Tate brothers, Ryan and Sean, who each won two individual events to contribute 80 points to their team total. Ryan claimed the 200 IM in 1:51.62, dropping .13 from prelims and finishing comfortably in front of PLV\/PLVS\u2019 Ethan Shih (1:53.26) and Lincoln Southwest\u2019s Carter Lyons (1:54.28). Sean took home the next title in the 50 free, topping the championship final in 20.58, with Lincoln East\u2019s Austin Baker (21.35) and Grand Island\u2019s Eric Lewandowski (21.61) placing second and third. Ryan picked up his second win of the meet in the 100 fly, throwing down a 49.07 in finals. PLV\/PLVS\u2019 Ethan Shih (49.89) and Grand Island\u2019s Matthew Novinski (51.15) rounded out the top three. Sean posted a two second victory in the 100 free, clocking a 44.89 to top Millard West\u2019s Caleb Kruse (46.85) and Norfolk\u2019s Cameron Carney (47.15).<\/p>\n<p>Elk\/Elk South\u2019s Michael Mollak also won two individual events. Mollak posted a 1:39.86 in the 200 free final, a bit off his prelims effort of 1:38.54 but well ahead of Creighton Prep\u2019s Brandon Abboud (1:41.33) and Grand Island\u2019s Daniel Novinski (1:43.01). In the 100 breast, Mollak clocked a 56.29 for a 1.1 second victory over Creighton Prep\u2019s Brian Magee, who touched in 57.39. BTCR\u2019s Lance Culjat recorded a 57.62 to take third in finals.<\/p>\n<p>Lincoln Southwest swept all three relays on the girls\u2019 side, posting a 1:45.01 in the 200 medley relay, a 1:35.49 in the 200 free relay and a 3:31.33 in the 400 free relay, though the 120 combined points weren\u2019t quite enough to down Marian for the team title.
