PHILADELPHIA – The El Paso Cathedral swimming team has been coming to the Eastern Interscholastic championships off and on for more than a decade, and the team performed well this year under the guidance of coach Vito Cancellare.<\/p>\n

Cancellare was a swimmer at Easterns about 15 years ago, and he talks about the excitement of giving his athletes the opportunity to race some of the best swimmers on the East Coast. His team just won another Texas state title, and despite being a little tired from two weeks of hard racing, posted some fast times in Philadelphia. He talks about the hard work the swimmers put in year-round in El Paso and how head coach Jack White inspires his athletes to join him at Cathedral High School.<\/p>\n
