For more information about Agon, visit their website\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.agonswim.com\/\"><em>Agonswim.com<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>By Taylor Brien, Swimming World College Intern<\/em><\/p>\n<p>ALBUQUERQUE\u2014John Holler of Cibola claimed two new state records Saturday at New Mexico&#8217;s high school state championships.<\/p>\n<p>On the girls side Eldorado swept the competition with 395 points. Albuquerque Academy was second with 261, and Los Alamos took third with 174 points.<\/p>\n<p>Eldorado\u2019s Gillian St. John claimed a pair of wins in Saturday\u2019s state championships. St. John managed to edge out the competition in the 200 free clocking in a 1:51.55 over Albuquerque\u2019s Cassaundra Pino\u2019s 1:52.85. St. John also touched first in the 50 free with a time of 23.23 earning herself an AA cut.<\/p>\n<p>Natasha Dark of St. Pious X excelled in the girls one-meter diving smashing her former state and pool record with 540.75 points. Dark had set the former records at last years state meet at 494.00.<\/p>\n<p>Albuquerque\u2019s Cassaundra Pino soared in the 100 fly past her former state and pool record time of 56.14 to finish with a 56.03. Zofia Niemczak of Volcano Vista finished soon after with a time of 56.69.<\/p>\n<p>Eldorado\u2019s 200 free relay team of Mikelle O\u2019Donnell (25.11), Olivia Heflin (24.56), Sydney Hanks (24.80) and Gillian St. John (22.74) finished first with a new state and pool record of 1:37.21.<\/p>\n<p>On the boys side, Albuquerque Academy gathered 339 points for the gold. Sandia took second with 211, and Cibola claimed third with 202 points.<\/p>\n<p>Cibola\u2019s John Holler claimed gold in two races along with two new state and pool records. Holler\u2019s first record came in the 50 free where he finished almost an entire second ahead of the competition with a 20.29. Holler was back at it again in the 100 free breaking his own pool and state record with a time of 44.84.<\/p>\n<p>Anthony Kim of Albuquerque Academy also broke his own state and pool record Saturday in the 100 fly. Kim posted a 48.59 in finals to lower his record and claim first.<\/p>\n<p>Kim also led to the Albuquerque Academy boys to a new state and pool record in the 200 yard freestyle relay.
