THE top two spots of the CSCAA Top 25 poll remained static as Auburn and Stanford topped the men's rankings, while California and Florida held strong on the women's side. The rest of the best, however, saw massive changes after each team provided evidence of either strength or weakness with the initial dual-meet season recently kicking off.

This weekend, three highly ranked men's teams take center stage as a Meet of the Week on SwimmingWorldMagazine.com. No. 4 California and No. 12 Indiana visit No. 3 Texas for a two-day meet across Friday and Saturday.

With the Auburn Tigers receiving all ten first place votes, two members of the Big Ten Conference, Minnesota and Purdue, had the most significant jump. Each of these teams moved up five positions after big wins last week. Minnesota, now fifth, upset Florida (161-139), while Purdue's victory over Arizona State (181-118) earned them a move to the 18th spot. In the upcoming period the Golden Gophers will compete against North Carolina (#22). The Boilermakers will meet with Notre Dame (#17) and Northwestern (#7) this weekend and follow with the Purdue Duals against Georgia (#9), Louisville, Penn State, and Utah next weekend. On the other side, the Florida Gators fell the most in the rankings, seven spots, after losses to Georgia (#9, 122-121) and Minnesota (#5, 161-139).

The amount of change on the women's poll was similar to that of the men's. While California (4) and Florida (2) earned first place votes, the Stanford Cardinal's three-spot jump to a third-place ranking includes three first place votes. Joining Stanford with the biggest moves this week are Indiana and Virginia. These changes put the Hoosiers and Cavaliers in the fourteenth and eighteenth spots, respectively. In the coming two weeks, Stanford will swim Auburn (#4) and Tennessee (#15). Indiana will be heading to Austin, Texas, to tangle with the Longhorns (#11) while Virginia will compete against Georgia Tech. The biggest slide in women's swimming and diving was seen by Wisconsin. Although the Badgers are off to a 3-0 start, the ballots revealed a slide to nineteen.

The next poll results will be released on November 16.

Women's Rankings
1 California (4) 4-0 264
2 Florida (2) 3-0 256
3 Stanford (3) 3-0 255
4 Auburn 1-0 246
5 Arizona 0-0 235
6 Southern California 2-0 212
7 Southern Methodist 0-0 211
8 Georgia 3-1 210
9 Texas A&M 3-0 206
10 Michigan 1-1 199
11 Texas 3-0 176
12 UCLA 3-0 168
13 Florida State 4-0 160
14 Indiana 3-0 154
15 Tennessee 3-0 146
16 Penn State 4-0 138
17 Minnesota 1-2 105
18 Virginia 2-1 104
19 Wisconsin 3-0 99
20 Notre Dame 0-0 92
21 Rutgers 2-0 89
22 Arizona State 2-1 73
22 North Carolina 0-1 73
24 Princeton 0-0 52
25 Missouri 1-1 50
OTHERS RECEIVING VOTES:
Kentucky 47, Oregon State 34, Louisville 26, Virginia Tech 25, Hawaii 18, Alabama 17, Purdue 17, Harvard 15, Richmond 7, Pacific 5, Clemson 1
DROPPING FROM RANKINGS:
Kentucky 23, Oregon State 25, Purdue 25

Men's Rankings
1 Auburn (10) 1-0 300
2 Stanford 0-0 289
3 Texas 0-0 281
4 California 2-0 265
5 Arizona 0-0 247
5 Minnesota 2-0 247
7 Northwestern 1-0 244
8 Southern California 1-0 232
9 Georgia 4-0 227
10 Florida 2-2 218
11 Michigan 1-1 193
12 Indiana 2-1 187
13 Tennessee 3-0 170
14 Ohio State 0-0 168
15 Virginia 3-0 157
16 Florida State 2-0 151
17 Notre Dame 1-0 148
18 Purdue 1-0 130
19 West Virginia 2-0 104
20 Arizona State 1-2 98
21 Alabama 1-0 96
22 North Carolina 0-1 91
23 Southern Methodist 1-0 87
24 Brigham Young 0-0 59
25 Texas A&M 1-1 58
OTHERS RECEIVING VOTES:
South Carolina 56, Kentucky 42, Wisconsin 25, Harvard 25, Clemson 16, Southern Illinois 15, Louisiana State 7, UNLV 7, Hawaii 3, Princeton 3, Penn State 2, Virginia Tech 2
DROPPING FROM RANKINGS:
Kentucky 18, Harvard 25

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 2.
