PHOENIX, Arizona, November 1. IN a 2004 article published by the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research<\/i>, Veronique J. Deschodt and Laurent M. Arsac of Victor Segalen University in Bordeaux, France studied the impact of the time of day on top performance in swimming.<\/p>\n

The article, Morning vs. Evening Maximal Cycle Power and Technical Swimming Ability, states that swimming performances during the study were greater in the evening with respect to top power and technical ability. The authors also state that when swimmers need to perform well in the morning, they must "warm up extensively" to counter the effects of the body's daily rhythms in the morning. <\/p>\n
