For more information about Agon, visit their website\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.agonswim.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Agonswim.com<\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>INDIANAPOLIS &#8211; Carmel High School became the first to break the 1:40 barrier in girls high school swimming competition in the 200-yard medley relay tonight at the Indiana Girls High School State Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight, Carmel&#8217;s Sammie Burchill (25.39), Alex Clarke (29.00), Veronica Burchill (23.31) and Amy Bilquist (21.55) blasted their way to a 1:39.25 in the finale.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday, <a title=\"Carmel Breaks 200 Medley Relay High School Mark\" href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/carmel-breaks-200-medley-relay-high-school-mark\/\" target=\"_blank\">during prelims<\/a>, the same\u00a0foursome of Burchill (25.51), Clarke (29.07), Burchill (23.63) and Bilquist (22.12) turned in a sizzling time of 1:40.33.<\/p>\n<p>That swim not only broke Carmel\u2019s 2014 national public school record of 1:40.83, but also lowered the overall record of 1:40.73 set by Carondelet back in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Carondelet\u2019s foursome of Madison White, Allison Gargalikis, Christina Ray and Chelsea Chenault set that mark in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Carmel\u2019s previous record came by way of Hanna House, Clarke, Burchill and Bilquist.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, the time also clipped the U.S. National Age Group record for the 15-18 division of 1:39.27 set by SwimMAC&#8217;s Kathleen Baker, Maija Roses, Alyssa Marsh and Lauren Rhodes<\/p>\n<p>National Records for High School Are Pending Application Verification.\u00a0 Click Here to Learn More: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.niscaonline.org\/AwardPrograms\/AASwimming.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.niscaonline.org\/<wbr \/>AwardPrograms\/AASwimming.aspx<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"oembed-wrap\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">WOW.
