ORLANDO – Cody Miller threw down a sizzling world best in his 200 breast to highlight the night at the Arena Pro Swim Series Orlando.<\/p>\n

Canada’s Audrey Lacroix raced her way to a second butterfly title as she claimed the 200-meter fly crown tonight.<\/p>\n

After winning the 100 last night, Lacroix returned with a 2:10.37 to win the 200 tonight and moved to 11th overall in the world rankings.<\/p>\n

Caitlin Leverenz, currently second in the overall points race, took second in the 200 fly with a 2:11.98, while York YMCA 15-year-old Courtney Harnish raced her way to third in 2:12.54.<\/p>\n

Last night’s double winner Hannah Miley took fourth in 2:12.96 with Greater Philadelphia’s Delaney Walz earning fifth in 2:14.34.<\/p>\n

Great Britain’s Amelia Clynes (2:14.81), Mexico’s Diana Luna Sanchez (2:15.37) and Venezuela’s Andreina Pinto (2:16.15) also vied for the title.<\/p>\n

Maria Fernanda Far Nunez claimed the B final in 2:16.97 with Tampa Bay’s Christin Rockway placing second in 2:17.42. \u00a0EAST’s Bebe Thompson wound up third in the consolation heat with a 2:18.54.<\/p>\n

Viktor Bromer followed up his swift morning swim of 1:57.00 with a 1:57.32 to win the 200 fly this evening.<\/p>\n
That’s three strong times already so far this season. \u00a0He owns a fourth-ranked 1:56.89 from the Luxembourg Euro Meet, with his prelim swimming ranking fifth and tonight standing sixth.<\/p>\n
Phoenix’s Alex Coci posted a second-place time of 1:59.38 to move to 11th in the world, while Gator’s Sebastien Rousseau earned third overall in 2:00.58.<\/p>\n
Ireland’s Brendan Hyland (2:00.96), Club Wolverine’s Kyle Whitaker (2:02.38), Island’s Alec Page (2:03.62), Luiz Pedro Ribeiro Pereira (2:04.74) and Mexico’s Jose Martinez (2:05.85) wrapped up the A final.<\/p>\n

Brazil’s Bruno Fratus captured the men’s 50 free A final title in 22.34 after a lengthy delay between the A and B final to replace the starting fin on the lane five starting blocks.<\/p>\n
Fratus already stands second in the world with a 21.91 from the Austin stop of the Arena Pro Swim Series, and tonight picked up another $1,000 in cash with a win.<\/p>\n
Phoenix’s Erik Risolvato hit the wall second in 22.49 to tie James Magnussen for 10th in the world.<\/p>\n
NYAC’s Josh Schneider closed out the top three in 22.54, while Club Wolverine’s Geoff Cheah took fourth in 22.58.<\/p>\n
Club Wolverine’s Miguel Ortiz (22.61), SwimAtlanta’s Karl Krug (22.64), Cardinal’s Joao De Lucca (22.80) and Badger’s Derek Toomey (23.06) rounded out the championship heat.<\/p>\n
Kyle Robrock captured the B final of the splash-and-dash with a time of 23.03, while Renzo Tjon A Joe touched just behind in 23.07. \u00a0Marcelo Chierighini snared third in 23.15.<\/p>\n

It was a tie in the women’s 100 back finale tonight as Denmark’s Mie Nielsen and Ontario’s Dominique Bouchard hit the wall at the same time with 1:00.55s.<\/p>\n
That moved both into fifth in the world rankings this year in what proved to be a fast finale.<\/p>\n
Czech’s Simona Baumrtova wound up with bronze with a time of 1:00.80.<\/p>\n
Lauren Quigley (1:01.16), Hilary Caldwell (1:02.17), Danielle Hanus (1:02.98), Maddie Hess (1:03.49) and Charlotte Evans (1:05.02) also competed in the finale.<\/p>\n
Iceland’s Eyglo Gustafsdottir won the B final in 1:02.23 with Mexico’s Fernanda Gonzalez Ramirez touched second in 1:03.44 with BYAC’s Camryn Forbes touching third in 1:03.45.<\/p>\n

NYAC’s Arkady Vyatchanin, looking to swim for Serbia after defecting from Russian, took second in 54.23 for seventh in the world.<\/p>\n
Tucson Ford’s Matt Grevers, the second-ranked man in the world with a 53.27 from Austin, took third in 54.29.<\/p>\n
Louisville’s Grigory Tarasevich (54.81), Club Wolverine’s Bobby Hurley (55.62), Bolles’ Omar Pinzon (56.20), Dynamo’s Michael Taylor (56.68) and Club Wolverine’s Geoff Cheah (56.96) finished fourth through eighth.<\/p>\n

Tennessee’s Molly Hannis, typically known as more of a sprint breaststroker, showed some endurance with a personal best in the 200 tonight.<\/p>\n
Hannis raced her way to a 2:26.80 for the win, jumping to seventh in the world rankings this year. \u00a0That swim also beat her previous personal best of 2:27.72 from last summer nationals.<\/p>\n

Badger’s Cody Miller, who shaved and rested a bit for this meet, demolished the field with a world best effort in the 200 breast.<\/p>\n
Miller hit the wall in 2:10.28, jumping ahead of Yasuhiro Koseki’s previous world-best time of 2:10.45 from the BHP Super Series. \u00a0Miller, however, didn’t look too happy at the finish as he was looking to break 2:10. The swim cleared his personal best of 2:10.99 from the 2013 U.S. Open.<\/p>\n
Greater Philadelphia’s Brendan McHugh finished second in 2:13.27 for a personal best as well. That eclipsed his 2:13.87 from the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials.<\/p>\n
Terrapins’ Sean Mahoney placed third overall in 2:16.22 to lead the rest of the group.<\/p>\n
Great Britain’s Calum Tait (2:16.28), Trojan’s Kosuke Kitajima (2:17.30), SwimMAC’s Mark Blazevski (2:18.17), Ireland’s Nicholas Quinn (2:18.46) and Anton Lobanov (2:20.48) rounded out the championship eight.<\/p>\n

Gator’s Elizabeth Beisel, back from a groin injury that put her on the sidelines for a month, turned on the speed down the final 100 to win the 400 free this evening.<\/p>\n
Beisel, who hung out with Hannah Miley throughout most of the race, went to her legs to win in 4:10.99. \u00a0That’s just a second and change slower than her seventh-ranked 4:09.62 from the Austin stop prior to her injury.<\/p>\n
Miley, in her third final of the night, took second in 4:12.63, while Island’s Danica Ludlow placed third in 4:13.78.<\/p>\n
Pointe-Claire’s Sam Cheverton (4:16.15), Chile’s Kristel Kobrich (4:17.29), Barrington’s Kirsten Jacobsen (4:17.31), Swim Florida’s Kendall Brent (4:19.58) and Rockwood’s Jordan Stout (4:21.92) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n
York’s Courtney Harnish turned on the afterburners in the B final to win in 4:15.56 as she blew past early leader Vien Nguyen of Saint Augustine. Nguyen placed second in 4:15.67 with Ohio State’s Alex Norris taking third in 4:17.25.<\/p>\n
