ORLANDO – The first night of the Arena Pro Swim Series Orlando\u00a0featured a strong double by Great Britain’s Hannah Miley.<\/p>\n

Garioch’s Hannah Miley cruised by the rest of the field in the A final with a time of 2:00.31. \u00a0That’s nowhere near the 1:58 range it currently takes for a top 10 time in the world, but it was enough to cash a paycheck for the gold.<\/p>\n

Point-Claire’s Sam Cheverton hit the wall second overall in 2:01.16 with Ozaukee’s Katie Drabot placing third in 2:01.26.<\/p>\n

York YMCA’s Courtney Harnish, 15, also posted a 2:01 with a 2:01.32 for fourth, while California’s Caitlin Leverenz earned fifth in 2:01.69.<\/p>\n

Ohio State’s Alex Norris (2:03.31), York’s Meghan Small (2:03.41) and Island’s Danica Ludlow (2:03.42) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n

Andreina Pinto of Venezuela won the B final in 2:02.15 with Saint Augustine’s Vien Nguyen placing second in 2:02.20 in what proved to be a close battle.<\/p>\n

Saint Andrew’s Megan Moroney finished third with a 2:03.14, while Rockwood’s Jordan Stout took fourth overall in 2:03.68.<\/p>\n

Brazil’s Joao de Lucca lit up the finale with a smoking 1:47.98. That swim pushed him to fourth in the world as only four swimmers have cleared 1:48 so far this year.<\/p>\n
James Guy (1:46.94), Conor Dwyer (1:47.76) and Danas Rapsys (1:47.90) are the only other swimmers under 1:48 in 2015.<\/p>\n
Conor Dwyer, swimming for Trojan, took second in 1:48.94 as he picked up some valuable podium points for the overall Arena Pro Swim Series leaderboard.<\/p>\n
Club Wolverine’s Michael Wynalda touched third overall in 1:49.47.<\/p>\n
The Woodlands’ Michael McBroom (1:50.59), SwimMAC’s Dion Dreesens (1:50.64), Club Wolverine’s Kyle Whitaker (1:50.75) and Greg Mallet (1:54.96) also competed in the finale.<\/p>\n
Wisconsin’s Michael Weiss raced his way to a 1:51.05 to win the B final of the 200 free, while British age group star Duncan Scott, 17, took second in 1:51.62. \u00a0Club Wolverine’s Michael Klueh wound up third in 1:51.74.<\/p>\n

SoFlo’s Alia Atkinson crushed the A final in the 100-meter breast as she clocked a sizzling time of 1:06.78 to break her personal best by the slimmest of margins.<\/p>\n
That swim skyrocketed her to the top of the world rankings this year ahead of Breeja Larson’s 1:07.33 from the Austin stop of the Arena Pro Swim Series last month.<\/p>\n
Tennessee’s Molly Hannis, who led prelims with a 1:08.60, took second with a 1:08.02 tonight to move to 10th in the world so far this year.<\/p>\n
Saint Petersburg’s Melanie Margalis claimed third overall with a 1:09.20 to round out the podium.<\/p>\n
Great Britain’s Chloe Tutton (1:10.11), Badger’s Bronwyn Pasloski (1:11.21), SoFlo’s Valentina Artemeva (1:12.03), Savannah’s ET Roberts (1:12.14) and Great Britain’s Georgia Coates (1:12.34) also put up times in the finale.<\/p>\n
Badger’s Emily McClellan touched out Gator’s Hilda Luthersdottir, 1:10.66 to 1:10.75, for the B final victory. Justine Bowker of T2 wound up with third in 1:11.38.<\/p>\n

Badger’s Cody Miller raced his way to second in the world with a scorching 59.92 to win the finale.<\/p>\n
That time just missed his personal best of 59.91 from last summer’s Nationals, his only previous time to break a 1:00.<\/p>\n
Great Britain’s Adam Peaty still holds the top time in the world with a time of 59.48 from the Speedo Flanders Cup.<\/p>\n
Greater Philadelphia’s Brendan McHugh touched second overall in 1:00.56 to move to third in the world.<\/p>\n
Auburn’s Felipe Lima snagged third in 1:01.33 for fourth in the world as tonight’s finale proved to be the fastest 100 breaststroke heat so far this year.<\/p>\n
Tennessee’s Brad Craig took fourth in 1:01.63 for fifth in the world with Trojan’s Kosuke Kitajima claiming fifth in 1:01.84 to move into the top 10 in the world.<\/p>\n
Ireland’s Nicholas Quinn (1:03.17), Pointe-Claire’s Antoine Bujold (1:03.25) and Anton Lobanov (1:03.63) also swam in the A final.<\/p>\n
Mexico’s Miguel De Lara Ojeda tied Great Britain’s Calum Tait with matching 1:03.51s to win the B final tonight. \u00a0George Greenhalgh picked up third overall in 1:03.73.<\/p>\n

Canada’s Audrey Lacroix overhauled SwimMAC’s Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace down the stretch to win the 100 fly finale tonight.<\/p>\n
Lacroix hit the wall in 59.62 as she moved into the top 20 in the world so far this year.<\/p>\n
Vanderpool-Wallace, who went out like a light with a 27.57 front half, wound up second in 1:00.71. \u00a0Lauren Quigley of Great Britain finished third in 1:00.89.<\/p>\n
York’s Courtney Harnish (1:01.54), Ontario’s Emma Ball (1:01.62), Linn-Mar’s Kelsey Drake (1:02.27), Great Britain’s Amelia Clynes (1:02.48) and Seminole’s Sveta Khakhlova (1:02.85) closed out the rest of the championship heat.<\/p>\n

Seminole’s Pavel Sankovich had a huge backhalf to win the men’s 100-meter fly championship heat.<\/p>\n
Sankovich posted a time of 52.55 for the win, moving up to sixth in the world rankings with the swim.<\/p>\n
Giles Smith, another fast closer, took second in 53.01 with Club Wolverine’s Geoff Cheah finishing third in 53.33.<\/p>\n
Phoenix’s Alex Coci (53.58), Venezuela’s Albert Subirats (53.76), Tucson Ford’s Masa Kishida (54.60), Phoenix’s Erik Risolvato (54.61) and Mason Makos’ Sean Fletcher (55.43) also vied for the title.<\/p>\n
Mateo Gonzalez earned the B final victory with a time of 54.59, while Club Wolverine’s Kyle Whitaker touched just behind with a 54.82. \u00a0Ireland’s Brendan Hyland snared third in 54.96.<\/p>\n

Garioch’s Hannah Miley raced her way to a double, adding the 400 IM crown to the 200 free tonight.<\/p>\n
Miley dominated the finale with a time of 4:36.74 to move to third in the world rankings. She finished behind Aimee Willmott (4:35.74) and Elizabeth Beisel (4:36.71).<\/p>\n
Beisel, who pulled out of this meet as she has been nursing a groin strain that kept her out of the BHP Super Series, was on the mic during the race with Rowdy Gaines on the Universal Sports feed.<\/p>\n
California’s Caitlin Leverenz put up a 4:40.65 to take second, while Saint Petersburg’s Melanie Margalis earned third in 4:41.29.<\/p>\n
Saint Augustine’s Vien Nguyen (4:43.09), Hurricane’s Katie Hoff (4:48.67), Great Britain’s Abbie Wood (4:49.66), Great Britain’s Georgia Coates (4:50.32) and Nitro’s Regan Barney (4:51.59) claimed fourth through eighth.<\/p>\n
Ozaukee’s Katie Drabot topped the B final in a time of 4:50.44 with Tampa Bay’s Christin Rockway finishing second in 4:51.68. \u00a0Gator’s Hannah Burns claimed third in 4:53.97.<\/p>\n

Gator’s Sebastien Rousseau closed out the men’s 400-meter IM finale on the freestyle leg with a 4:19.71 for the win. \u00a0That’s just outside the top 10 in the world of 4:19.61 held by James Guy.<\/p>\n
SwimMAC’s Tyler Clary, who is fifth in the world this year with a 4:16.28 from the Austin stop, took second in 4:22.90 after just getting off the plane two days ago from a trip to Australia.<\/p>\n
Conor Dwyer wound up third overall in 4:23.22 for some more podium points.<\/p>\n
Island’s Alec Page (4:23.83), Wisconsin’s Michael Weiss (4:26.38), SwimMAC’s Marko Blazevski (4:31.82), Mexico’s Julio Olvera Alejos (4:35.48) and Ontario’s Christian Ng (4:36.00) also battled in the finale.<\/p>\n
Great Britain’s Luke Greenbank rolled through the B final with a time of 4:30.31. York Y’s Zach Snyder finished second in 4:34.44 with Oscar Ike taking third in 4:35.81.<\/p>\n
