NICE – The Iron Lady Katinka Hosszu ran her gold medal tally to six at the Golden Tour stop in Nice with three more victories on day two here in France.<\/p>\n

After a trio of golds yesterday<\/a>, Hosszu got it going again today with a 1:00.47 in the women’s 100-meter back to start off with a victory. Ukraine’s Daryna Zevina touched second in 1:01.78 with Sweden’s Michelle Coleman placing third in 1:02.26.<\/p>\n

Hosszu, who is swimming in every single event here in Nice, collected her fifth gold medal with a 2:29.00 in the women’s 200-meter breast. \u00a0Adeline Martin took second overall in 2:31.24 with Lara Grangeon placing third in 2:32.85.<\/p>\n

Melanie Henique moved to third in the world rankings in the women’s 50-meter fly with a 26.42, while Marie Wattel checked in with a silver-winning 26.91 for seventh in the world.<\/p>\n

Hosszu picked up her seventh overall medal with a bronze-winning time of 27.15.<\/p>\n

Early favorite Sarah Sjostrom pulled out of the meet after the first day of prelims due to what is being called an illness on deck in Nice.<\/p>\n

Hosszu bounced back in the women’s 200-meter free with a 1:58.32 for her sixth gold of the meet. \u00a0She finished a bit ahead of Coralie Balmy’s 1:58.75. \u00a0Charlotte Bonnet took third in 1:59.62.<\/p>\n

Sweden’s Stina Gardell took down Hosszu in the women’s 400-meter IM, 4:44.00 to 4:48.38. \u00a0But, Hosszu’s ninth medal of the meet thus far is pretty impressive considering she powered through four swims in less than an hour tonight.<\/p>\n

Evelyn Verraszto took third overall in 4:52.07 to round out the podium.<\/p>\n

Christian Diener stopped the clock in 55.03 to win the men’s 100-meter back, while Ben Stasiulis touched second in 55.34. \u00a0Simon Sjodin wound up third in 55.94.<\/p>\n

Erik Persson hit the wall in 2:14.55 to claim the men’s 200-meter breaststroke. \u00a0Quentin Coton placed second in 2:15.17 with David Verraszto taking third overall in 2:15.46.<\/p>\n

Mehdy Metella clipped Andriy Govorov by the slimmest of margins in the men’s 50-meter fly, 23.82 to 23.83, as the two moved to third and fourth in the world rankings. \u00a0Fred Bousquet clinched third in 24.19.<\/p>\n

Jeremy Stravius took home the men’s 200-meter free title in 1:48.77, while Jordan Pothain placed second in 1:49.36. \u00a0Mykhaylo Romanchuk, the 1500 free winner, earned third in 1:49.52.<\/p>\n

David Verraszto turned in a 4:17.00 to win the men’s 400-meter IM, while Jeremy Desplanches took second in 4:20.96. \u00a0Simon Sjodin wound up third in 4:26.50.<\/p>\n
