LUXEMBOURG – The second day of the Luxembourg Euro Meet produced a pair of doubles from Mireia Belmonte and Marco Koch.<\/p>\n

Melania Costa put up a 1:58.83 to win the women’s 200-meter free to start day two. \u00a0Alice Mizzau touched second in 1:59.57 with Johanna Friedrich taking third in 2:00.86.<\/p>\n

Paul Biedermann snagged the men’s 200-meter free title in 1:48.56, moving to seventh in the early part of the world rankings. \u00a0Velimir Stjepanovic touched second in 1:49.98 with Philip Heintz earning third in 1:50.01.<\/p>\n

Adeline Williams raced to a 32.07 to win the women’s 50-meter breast, taking third in the early world rankings. \u00a0Jessica Vall finished second in 32.30 with Caroline Ruhnau placing third in 32.34.<\/p>\n

Germany’s Marco Koch moved to third in the world with a 28.24 to win the men’s 50-meter breast, while Andrew Weatheritt took second in 28.36. \u00a0Fjodors Mjasojedovs wound up third in 28.46.<\/p>\n

Emma Wilkins clocked a 27.07 to top the women’s 50-meter fly. \u00a0Zsuzsanna Jakabos took second in 27.44 with Jana Zinnecker earning third in 27.63.<\/p>\n

Laszlo Cseh touched out Konrad Czerniak in the men’s 50-meter fly, 23.90 to 23.95, in the men’s 50-meter fly. \u00a0Rafael Munoz took third in 24.00.<\/p>\n

Cseh has been faster with a third-ranked 23.86 at the Flanders Speedo Cup this year. \u00a0Munoz stands second with a 32.81 from the Catalunya Open, while Czerniak moved into the top four in the world.<\/p>\n

Sonnele Oeztuerk topped the women’s 100-meter back in 1:02.17 with Brittany Horton taking second in 1:02.57. \u00a0Laura Riedemann placed third in 1:02.76.<\/p>\n

Gabor Balog followed with a 55.61 to win the men’s 100-meter back. \u00a0Carl Louis Schwarz finished second in 56.71 with Jean-Francois Schneiders taking third in 57.44.<\/p>\n

Mireia Belmonte edged Jakabos in the women’s 200-meter IM, 2:15.29 to 2:15.63, while Beatriz Gomez took third in 2:17.12.<\/p>\n

Philip Heintz picked up the men’s 200-meter IM gold in 2:00.44, while Laszlo Cseh collected another silver with a second-place time of 2:00.68. \u00a0Alexis Santos took third in 2:02.62.<\/p>\n

Jessica Vall snagged the women’s 200-meter breast title in 2:27.42. Meanwhile, Julia Willers took second in 2:32.69 with Michelle Lambert placing third in 2:33.48.<\/p>\n

Koch won his second gold of the night with a 2:11.45 in the men’s 200-meter breast. \u00a0That swim pushed him to third in the world rankings, just behind Cody Miller’s 2:11.35 from Perth yesterday.<\/p>\n

Michael Jamieson took second in 2:12.05, while Laurent Carnol placed third in 2:13.94.<\/p>\n

Belmonte snared a second title tonight as well with a 2:10.23 win in the women’s 200-meter fly. \u00a0Judith Ignacio took second in 2:10.93 with Martina Van Berkel placing third in 2:11.20.<\/p>\n

Victor Bromer set a meet record in the men’s 200-meter fly with a 1:56.89 for the win. \u00a0That swim bettered his already fourth-ranked season best of 1:57.22, but didn’t leapfrogg Grant Irvine (1:56.84) for third in the world.<\/p>\n

His time eclipsed the previous record of 1:57.56 set by Ioannis Drymonakos of Greece back in 2012.<\/p>\n

Carlos Peralta (1:59.54) and Laszlo Cseh (2:00.49) also made the podium.<\/p>\n

Julie Meynen took home the women’s 50-meter free in 25.85 with Lauriane Haag touching just behind with a second-place 25.88. \u00a0Nina Kost wound up third in 25.90.<\/p>\n

Krisztian Takacs pocketed the men’s 50-meter free crown in 22.59 with Konrad Czerniak claiming second in 22.73. \u00a0Andrew Weatheritt rounded out the top three in 22.95.<\/p>\n

Simon Hengel, Nin Kost, Philip Heintz and Franziska Jansen won the mixed 400 free relay in 3:36.00.<\/p>\n
