STANFORD – Maddy Schaefer, a multiple All-American and NCAA relay champion for Stanford is no longer with the team according to women’s head coach Greg Meehan.<\/p>\n
After noticing her absence from the Stanford line-up this weekend, Swimming World reached out to Meehan for clarification. \u00a0Meehan simply replied that “Schaefer is no longer swimming for Stanford.”<\/p>\n
Meehan, who would not confirm the reason behind the move, did state that he “really liked the team” he has heading into the championship season.<\/p>\n
Schaefer finishes her Stanford career as a 14-time All-American with four relay NCAA titles as part of the 200 free relay and 400 free relay in both 2012 and 2014.<\/p>\n
