USTER – Marco Koch and Alexandra Wenk made the German presence known at the International Meeting in Uster, Switzerland, with a total of four golds on night one.<\/p>\n
Germany’s Marco Koch clipped Hungary’s David Verraszto, 1:56.48 to 1:56.58, for the men’s 200-meter fly crown. \u00a0Hungary’s Ben Gratz picked up third overall in 1:56.60.<\/p>\n
Koch doubled up in one of his specialty events as he clocked a 58.72 to win the men’s 100-meter breast. \u00a0That time just missed Daniel Gyurta’s 2013 meet record of 58.51. \u00a0Italy’s Andrea Toniato took second in 59.61 with Edoardo Giorgetti earning third in 1:00.08.<\/p>\n
Alexandra Wenk of Germany won the women’s 100-meter free in 55.04 with Italy’s Rachele Ceracchi placing second in 55.39. \u00a0Germany’s Nele Klein wound up third in 55.57.<\/p>\n
Wenk earned her second title with a 2:12.48 in the women’s 200-meter IM. \u00a0Maria Ugolkova (2:15.58) and Sara Gyertyanffy (2:16.98) placed second and third.<\/p>\n
Italy’s Margherita Panziera captured the women’s 200-meter back in 2:08.23 with compatriots\u00a0Carlotta Zofkova (2:09.12) and Giulia Spaziani (2:12.27) rounding out the top three.<\/p>\n
Panziera snared a double of her own with a 4:09.01 in the women’s 400-meter free. \u00a0Rieneke Terink touched second in 4:09.50 with Reva Foos earning third in 4:13.37.<\/p>\n
Giorgio Gaetani led an Italian 1-2 in the men’s 200-meter back with a 1:55.85. Niccolo Bonacchi finished second in 1:56.10 with Hungary’s David Verraszto taking third in 1:57.00.<\/p>\n
Alexandre Haldemann won the men’s 100-meter free title in 48.31 with Italy’s Marco Belotti taking second in 48.50. \u00a0Andrey Grechin of Russia finished third in 48.64.<\/p>\n
Verraszto picked up a victory in the men’s 200-meter IM with a 1:58.05, while Gaetani took second in 1:58.56. \u00a0Luca Pizzini placed third in 2:00.34.<\/p>\n
Florian Vogel touched out Damiano Lestingi, 3:45.73 to 3:45.78, in the men’s 400-meter free, while Haldemann took third overall in 3:48.53.<\/p>\n
Italy’s Teresa Stickner took home the women’s 200-meter fly title in 2:10.49, while Danielle Villars finished second in 2:11.99. \u00a0Germany’s Elena Czeschner claimed third in 2:12.38.<\/p>\n
Ilaria Scarcella dominated the women’s 100-breast breast in 1:07.35 with Lisa Mamie taking second in 1:10.37. \u00a0Sibylle Graenicher finished third in 1:11.17.<\/p>\n
