Glasgow 2015 will take place from 13-19 July and is expected to see world and Paralympic champions from 50 countries looking to place themselves firmly on the road to the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.<\/p>\n

The competition schedule can be viewed at www.glasgow2015.com\/schedule-results<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tickets are now available via www.ticketmaster.co.uk\/Glasgow2015<\/a> priced at just GBP10\/15 for adults for heats\/finals, while all under-16s go free (t&c’s apply).<\/p>\n

The schedule published on Tuesday shows which events are set to take place on each day, with a final version due for release in June once the entries have closed.<\/p>\n

The competition could get off to a flying start with the possibility of five golds for British swimmers on day one, including home favourite Ellie Simmonds who will be looking to defend her 400m freestyle S6 title.<\/p>\n

Other headline events include Brazilian swimmer Daniel Dias, defending his six S5 world titles against the likes of Great Britain’s multiple European champion Andrew Mullen and the USA’s Roy Perkins.<\/p>\n

The women’s S8 races could feature America’s 12-time Paralympic champion Jessica Long against Great Britain’s Stephanie Slater, the most decorated female athlete from the 2014 Euros, and Russia’s Oleysa Vladykina.<\/p>\n

New Zealand’s six-time world champion Sophie Pascoe will have to get past top ranked athletes including Canada’s Aurelie Rivard and France’s Elodie Lorandi in the women’s S10 events.<\/p>\n

The men’s equivalent could see American youngster and 400m freestyle world and Paralympic champion Ian Silverman face Brazil’s 12-time Worlds gold medallist Andre Brasil. China’s Furong Lin, who won the most medals at October’s Asian Para Games, could also line-up.<\/p>\n

The World Championships, which are staged every two years, are the biggest event on the calendar for para-swimming outside of the Paralympic Games and will see the world’s best male and female para-swimmers in action across 172 medal events.<\/p>\n

The venue will be the Tollcross International Swimming Centre, the same pool that hosted the hugely successful and popular swimming competitions at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games in July and the 2013 Duel in the Pool between the USA and the European Allstars.<\/p>\n

National Paralympic Committees and National Federations have until 28 May to submit their team entries to IPC Swimming.<\/p>\n
