That moved Franca up to fourth\u00a0in the world, while Gomes Jr. clocked a swift 26.89 in prelims to move to fifth in the world. \u00a0Felipe Lima took third in 27.52.<\/p>\n<p>Etienne Medeiros, <a title=\"Etiene Medeiros Clips World Record in 50 Back at Worlds \u2013 Video\" href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/etiene-medeiros-clips-world-record-50-back-worlds\/\" target=\"_blank\">coming off a blistering 50 back world record at world short course championships<\/a>, won the women&#8217;s 100-meter back in a meet-record 1:01.10.<\/p>\n<p>Maria Pessanha finished second in 1:04.26 with Tatiana Adorno taking third overall in 1:04.45.<\/p>\n<p>Guilherme Guido turned in a 54.10 to win the men&#8217;s 100-meter backstroke finale after clocking a swift 53.73 in prelims. \u00a0Thiago Pereira placed second in 54.54 with Fabio Santi winding up third in 55.28.<\/p>\n<p>Dayana De Paula raced her way to a meet record in the women&#8217;s 50-meter fly with a time of 26.42, while Caroline Lemos finished just behind in second with a 26.52. Daiene Dias hit the wall third in 26.71.<\/p>\n<p>Jennifer da Conceicao won the women&#8217;s 50-meter breast in 31.85 with Ana Carvalho earning second in 32.08. \u00a0Beatriz Azzolini wound up third in 32.11.<\/p>\n<p>Bruna Primati captured the women&#8217;s 800-meter free in 8:44.30 with Viviane Eichelberger snared second in 8:47.03. \u00a0Carolina Bilich finished third in 8:54.69.<\/p>\n<p>Miguel Valente picked up the men&#8217;s 1500-meter free title in 15:16.89, while Lucas Kanieski finished second in 15:22.84. \u00a0Luiz Rogerio Arapiraca pocketed third in 15:33.12.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Brazilian Winter Nationals\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cbdaweb.org.br\/cbda\/natacao\/evento\/412\/2014\/camp-open-correios\/informacoes\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Results: Brazilian Winter Nationals, Day One<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RIO DE JANEIRO &#8211; Cesar Cielo moved to second in the world this year in the 50-meter fly at the Brazilian National Championships.
