BARCELONA – At the Spanish Short Course National Championships, Mireia Belmonte Garcia continued her amazing year with a world record in the 1500 free.<\/p>\n

Belmonte Garcia, who just set a pair of short course world records at the World Short Course Championships in the 200 fly and 400 IM, reclaimed all three longer distance freestyle world records with a 15:19.71 in the 1500 free.<\/p>\n

Belmonte Garcia already owned the 400 free (3:54.52) and 800 free (7:59.34) with blistering times at the Berlin stop of the FINA World Cup.<\/p>\n

In Spain, she smashed Lauren Boyle’s already controversial world record of 15:22.68 from New Zealand’s short course meet<\/a>.<\/p>\n
