COLLEGE PARK \u2013 At the Speedo Tom Dolan Invitational this evening, Penn Charter’s Reece Whitley nearly became the youngest male to ever crack 53 seconds in the 100-yard breast with a 13-14 National Age Group record.<\/p>\n

The 14 year old blasted his way to a sizzling time of 53.06, clearing the age group mark of 53.84 he posted during preliminary qualifying this morning.<\/p>\n

That prelim swim cleared\u00a0the previous record of 53.88 set by Michael Andrew earlier this year before he aged up to 15 years old.<\/p>\n
