Showing that she\u2019s ready for Summer Nationals, which will serve as the selection meet for the Pan Pacific Championships and next year\u2019s World Champs, Weir blasted the field in the 100 freestyle by registering a winning time of 54.77. The outing was plenty quicker than the 56.28 of Kara Lynn Joyce and the 56.86 turned in by Rachel Komisarz.<\/p>\n
Compared to the first three days of the competition, the times recorded were not as eye-popping, but a handful of quality swims went into the books. The winner of the 50 free, where he\u2019s among the leading contenders for a title at Nationals, Cullen Jones won the 100 free among the men with a mark of 50.26. Daniel Farnham was second to the wall in 50.87.<\/p>\n
Eric Shanteau was the winner of the 200 breaststroke in 2:16.38, a time that easily topped the 2:20.91 of Clark Burckle. Meanwhile, the women\u2019s version of the event went to Kristine Polley in 2:31.86. In the 1,500 freestyle on the female side, Emily Brunemann bested the field with a swim of 17:00.28. For the men, Robert Margalis won the metric mile in 15:27.30.
