Anika says that switching mindsets from swimming to water polo isn&#8217;t a big deal to her and doing so helps to keep things fresh. <\/p>\n<p>Also discussed is that her relatively newfound love of water polo made it difficult to choose just one sport at the college level, so ultimately she chose both. <\/p>\n<p>Anika Apostalon was the No. 1 ranked swimmer in the state of New Mexico and 99th in the nation among 2013-14 recruits by College Swimming.com. As a senior in high school, she was an All-American in the 50 and 100 Freestyle and the 100 Backstroke.
