PHOENIX – Last week we wanted to know who you think deserves the Golden Goggle Perseverance Award. Now the Golden Goggles was held earlier this week so the award has been given. So let\u2019s see how you faired compared to the actual result! <\/p>\n

Voter were right on because Anderson and Gemmel went on to win this Golden Goggle award in New York Monday night. Michael Phelps came in second with 28% followed by Tom Shields, Missy Franklin and Kevin Cordes. Great job voting!<\/p>\nThis week we want to know what you think about Sun Yang\u2019s suspension. On May 17, Sun Yang tested positive for the stimulant trimedtazidine during Chinese Nationals. He was stripped of his 1500 meter national title. He received a suspension from competition for 3 months and fined 5000 RMB or about $816 US dollars. The ban was kept quiet which is why we are just hearing about the suspension now, in November. This is the first time Sun Yang has tested positive for a banned substance. But this week, we want to know, does Sun Yang\u2019s recent suspension call to question his performances in the 2012 London Olympics? To refresh your memory, Sun Yang swam the fasted 1500 meter swim ever, with a new world record 14:31. He also won the event by 8.5 seconds over Ryan Cochrane. His teammate, Ye Shiwen, who has been suspected of doping, also swam two world records swims in London \u2013 the 400 IM out splitting Ryan Lochte and Michael Phelps on her final 50 and a world record in the 200 IM.
